Default Stevie needs to let go,

and release her pent-up creativity......

flood the market with her magic.....

there seems to be something holding her back from super stardom.....

as evidenced in the presence of Rod.....

^Yeah, I don't think she would "quit" even if it is her last solo album. I definitely think she'll do another Mac record. But, I do think she would be very concerned with going out with a bang, rather than a wimper. This would be the time. She's getting attention, airplay, media exposure.

With that said I absolutely think there will be one more FM album with a supporting tour and totally think she'll still be infultrating us with her art but not in the form of a new released solo album.
I voted no, but you make really valid points. Sometime I wonder how Stevie does it at her age now. All this pre-promotion and post promotion, and the recording industry as it is today, you would have to have nerves of steel More than anything, I really want to see one more FM record. So if Stevie just utilizes Dave Stewart for some more magical collaborations and songcraft, and Lindsey agree's to an outside producer (esp. if it's Dave), I'd personally be satisfied, and can also see that being the last of an all out presentation of original material. Afterwards, maybe Stevie would do a standards record, or drip out a song or two here and there on a soundtrack or via Itunes. But not do the whole circus that is required in promoting an album properly.

No not at all! I mean Wanda Jackson just kicked one out this year and shes well into her seventies!

I Just hope this opens Stevie up to working with other people... I'd like a more prolific artist than Dave to take her under his wing and have her do something totally out of her comfort zone... like wanda jackson and jack white!

... Sorry, my friend and i were listening to that album all day today, so i've kinda got it on the brain.

She is getting older, but I don't see her like retiring. Not yet

I can't see Stevie stop working until she drops dead. I don't see her as someone who can just hang it up and retire to a sedate life. That's what would kill her. She might par down her road warrior tendencies, but I think that she feels she has a lot more to accomplish, and intends to work in a more expedient manner, to get things done in shorter time frame. Dave Stewart's creative process might have had a big impact on her.

If she can negotiate a new album contract, then she'll release more material. I wonder how Reprise feels about her as a commercial artist today. I'd imagine she's fostered a pretty good relationship with the people who matter.

I think the record deal is the main reason why the Fleetwood Mac album is being held up. Do they even have a label? There's no way that Stevie's going to participate in an independently-released album. If the band's smart, they'll negotiate a deal with Live Nation to release the album.

Again I'll bring up the comment Mick made about Stevie's contract with WB and now that it's been fulfilled how FM now is able to do as they please...What's this all about?
