It's only too late to those who were negative about the album to begin with.

Don't be so quick to discount this option because she may be planning to do just that...

From theMaclean's magazine new interview with Stevie thread

"Q: 24 Karat Gold could easily have a Part 2 or 3 because of the number of demos you have. What would you include on it?

A: I think that this is one of the best records I’ve ever made. So I can’t just let this record go. When the Fleetwood Mac tour is over, I might go straight back to Nashville and record eight or nine songs, and Warner Brothers can take it and repackage the album. I have another 10 demos. "

It won't surprise me if she does this...I also think she may record a few extras and then walks into FM and puts all the finished songs on the table and tells them "pick 5 songs to re record for the FM record and the rest are going on my next release"

she says a lot of things .

it's was made and it really was for her fans , i really would be disappointed if she decided to cling to this and not create something new , even if it is a second songs from the vault they are still new and a second if marketed and a tour to promote it, may make the casual fan seek out the first .

A double album? Ordinarily I would say no, but 24k is a really good album. I would love more songs associated with it. It's one of the best things she has ever done.

An opportunity to promote 24 Karat Gold exists with the "On with the Show" tour. "The Dealer" would be an excellent addition for the set. Constantly touring without refreshing the set list with different arrangements or new songs becomes very dull.

I would prefer to see another album recorded rather than reissuing an existing album multiple times.

The safest way is to release a second installment for the Songs from the Vault series. Not only are there additional songs waiting to see the light of day, opportunities exist to improve released songs like "Smile at You" and "Running through the Garden."

Think positive guys. This is coming from a negative person saying all the negative crap on this forum for almost 12 years..Let her do what she likes to do.I agree with Dragon. She could throw a tune in the setlist as Mick should mention his book is available with this tour.At this point they are promoting nothing.FM had an OP to add a new tunes to prime their fans on their upcoming album but they decline to do so and dont want to make a mountain out of the mole hill more what happening with the recording issue. I wish she filmed 24K like she did with IYD.

Anyway .Busy as she is .I hope she does something .

BITE YOUR TONGUE!!! "Running Through The Garden" is perfection and the BEST song on SYW.

But I will respect your opinion and we can agree to disagree.

I personally wouldn't want to see 24KG repackaged with "additional tracks". And I seriously don't think Warners will do that.

I'd rather see a "SFTV Part 2" released as a separate entity. That way, whether or not she gets to properly tour for 24KG, she can at least do a "Songs From The Vault Tour" and showcase tracks from both albums. That makes the most sense to me.

As someone has already said, the album was released last year but it's been only 6 months and if I remember well it has been released too late for being nominated at the grammys. I think if she does something, anything she could get a nomination for this year's grammy and finally get her first grammy as a solo artist.
I'm not the kind of person that thinks too highly of these ceremonies but it's still a great opportunity for any artist.

I think that would be a much better approach. Now I could be the only one that thinks like this, but I personally think she needs to stay away from the "songs from the vault" "best of" "greatest hits" "oldies" "legacy artist" stereotypes, and give those old songs new life in them, like she did with 24KG, but not so much the emphasis on the age of the songs. I think it's in her best interest to produce something more Tango-esque (Seven Wonders became very popular recently), instead of the classic rock vibe she puts out, of which I personally love. Don't get me wrong, 24KG is one of my all-time favourites, but at the same time I think she could reach a larger audience with those older songs, along with some new ones, that reflect a more modern, forward thinking Stevie. Maybe she could even update her outfits, lol.

A more modern Stevie was In Your Dreams and I much prefer 24k. She just needs to do what she does best - classic rock - and not worry about sales. People appreciate quality - don't over think it. She is not going to gain fans with a more techno album.

Maybe not- but it's important to remember her only #1 song as a solo artist was when Planets Of The Universe topped the Dance Charts. That was even this century!

Let's also not forget her more "modern" In Your Dreams debuted higher than 24k, sold more copies, and had singles that charted, too. In Your Dreams also probably earned her the best critical reviews of her career to boot. So to say that Stevie should stick to classic rock for the sake of "doing what she does best" is somewhat misguided.

Sorry, but that's not true. I believe "Talk To Me" and "Rooms On Fire" were #1 Rock Songs
