Default All The Beautiful Worlds sounds like a Kate Bush song

Anyone else think this?

Not sure the new album is better than In Your Dreams;
but the singing/vocals are the best they've sounded since
Bella Donna.

Default All the Beautiful Worlds/ MAC

I have always loved this demo and the finished product stayed true to the original. I really would have loved this as a Fleetwood Mac track. To have Christine and Lindsey doing the "Girls Part" would have made this song stellar. I have never been a fan of when I can hear her backup singers in the forefront. If this was a MAC song with the same arrangement and production but with Buckingham & Mc Vie on the recording this would have been a Fleetwood Mac classic.

Agree.
Although this is one of the few songs where the backup girls actually sound great just on their own.
I usually think they sound shrill and would rather have Stevie do her own harmonies.
In this song, it gives a great counter-point to the lead melody.

Amazingly. Srsly. Walking home from work, when this song came on I thought to myself: "This is her Kate Bush song; and Kate Bush doesn't make music this good anymore." So--yes--I don't entirely know how to explain this, but I totally agree. I think it has something to do with the inventiveness of the vocal orchestration.

Anyway, great observation.

Also, my first chance to say on here, this is my second favorite Stevie solo album of all time. It's beyond wonderful. I'm so happy for her.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I'm listening now... and though I could hear Kate's voice in my head, the production sounds more dated than Kate's light touch, even with her heavy 1989 album. Actually, it sounds like something off of Carly Simon's "Coming Around Again" to me. Maybe "Two Hot Girls On A Hot Summer Night."

It's a gorgeous song either way, so thanks for pushing me back to it -- I bought 24KG, but it didn't grab me right away and I haven't listened to it enough.

Saw Kate 4x and FM once last year and am excited to see FM this Friday...
