What's the difference between the two versions of "Straight Back"?
On the expanded/deluxe versions of Mirage, "Straight Back" is on the first disc and then "Straight Back (Original Album Version)" is on the second disc. My first thought was, if it were the original album version, shouldn't it be on the first disc? Then I listened to both versions and they sound pretty much identical to me. The only explanation I can think of is that they wanted every song from the original album represented on the second disc but they couldn't find any alternate version of "Straight Back" so they simply included the original version there a second time, but that's just silly.

There's another thread about this, but when it was first released, there was no guitar "solo overdubs" on the end of the song. When it was released on CD years later, the guitar part was there. I'm not exactly certain WHEN they added the later mix. But when it was first released, the extra guitar part wasn't there.

I think the original album version is also lacking some Stevie backing vocals if I'm not mistaken. The part where she sings "She remembers how good it can be" doesn't have the "hours and hours of waiting for you" part.
