Mick (and Stevie) on Dolly's Rock Star album
Stevie's collaboration with Dolly for her rock album was well-documented, but I had no idea Mick had also participated. Apparently, he appears on "Let it Be" with Paul, Ringo, and Peter Frampton.
The guest performers on this album are an impressive group. Truly Dolly can bring anyone together! https://ultimateclassicrock.com/doll...8lZl9Zro0wqyik |

I’m looking forward to hearing “Freebird” and Bob Seger’s “Night Moves,” a really great song. Not terribly excited about “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for You?” I think Dolly would have sung a good “Long Distance Winner” with Stevie.

I think Garbo, That's Alright, or Gate and Garden would have been perfect for Dolly.

This is a great idea..it will be a great Album..
I’m not a big fan of Dolly, but hats off. So why doesn’t Stevie do something similar…she could lean towards her country side. Someone should tell her ….She doesn’t have to write the bloomin songs. |

I totally agree Stevie is a great harmonizer and still is and would knock it out of the park with a duet album. I like Dolly on her two trio albums with Linda and Emmylou but I probably couldn’t take a solo album of hers. This duet album is going to be great.

What would be her premise?

https://www.usatoday.com/story/enter...s/11112723002/ I am excited for this record. I mean...Dolly collaborating with Stevie, Mick, Ann Wilson, Joan Jett, Sheryl Crow, Pat Benatar, Melissa Etheridge, Steven Tyler, Elton John, Michael MacDonald, Sting, John Fogerty, Steve Perry and so many others is really amazing. Excerpt from interview: Dolly's favorite moments recording her rock album "What have been the most enjoyable moments of recording the album? I had fun singing with Stevie (Nicks). It’s a song she wrote called “What Has Rock ‘n Roll Ever Done for Me,” a cute little song." |

Here's Dolly's version of "Let it Be," with Paul, Ringo, and Peter Frampton. Mick is featured on percussion.

Dolly has also put out a massive book on her costumes and looks thru the years. That's a great idea for Stevie also. I can always tell the year of a Stevie photo by hair, makeup and clothes

But “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for You?” is about Hurricane Katrina. Stevie realizes that now.

Mick Fleetwood, Paul McCartney, and Peter Frampton is the supergroup I didn’t realize we needed. I like Ringo, too, and Mick also played with Zak.
