Why has Gold & Braid never had a proper studio version release?
It seems there's only a demo and some live versions?

I've always wondered that as well, as it's one of , imo, her best songs ever. It would be amazing if she released a live version from this year asa single. The studio version on the BD box set is kickass, but still ultimately is a demo.

But then it's yet again another live version... I really just want a high quality proper studio recording lol the demo doesn't do it justice AT ALL.

Because the song sucks. I almost walked out of the concert in December when she opened with it.

I adore Gold and Braid but thought it was an absolute horrible choice for an opener. Starshine would have been perfect.

I went to the show without knowing the setlist and almost cried tears of joy when the intro riff started. It's one of my top 10 Stevie songs. I would ADORE a studio version that matches the live version. Maybe if she does another Songs from the Vault?

I thought the demo from BD was pretty close to a studio version. It's amazing. I loved it as the opening song to this tour. I also LOVE her stories during this tour. She is getting the best reviews ever for this tour. I don't remember her ever getting so many rave reviews, city to city like this. And part of the reason in the reviews IS her telling stories between songs.
