But Elle also said she was a fan of Lindsey's music, even his FM stuff. So why shouldn't she be able to come in here to discuss LB's FM music? And she is going to FM shows, should she not come here to discuss what she'd like to see at these shows or post reviews once the shows are over? I say the more the merrier. A variety of opinions makes the discussions much more interesting.

I'm not saying that anybody shouldn't post anywhere, I only asked the question. To me, posting in a Fleetwood Mac Rumours-era message board when you're only a fan of 1/3 of it's music seemed a bit like getting a pet cat when you're allergic to fur.

She said she's posting here because she's a fan of LB's FM music and this is the appropriate forum to discuss that music. Makes sense to me. I think if we were to run the numbers, Lindsey's songs would account for more than 1/3 of the Rumours era music.

And I hate Gypsy as well.

re number of songs yeah with 9 Tusk songs and all those SYW songs... definitely more than a 1/3 of Rumours era songs.

Love In Store vs Big Love
Can't Go Back vs Seven Wonders
That's Alright vs Everywhere
Book of Love vs Caroline
Gypsy vs Tango in the Night
Only Over You vs Mystified
Empire State vs Little Lies
Straight Back vs Family Man
Hold Me vs Welcome to the Room...Sara
Oh Diane vs Isn't it Midnight
Eyes of the World vs When I See You Again
Wish You Were Here vs You and I, Part II

Mirage - 9
Tango - 3

I think Mirage is the stronger work. It was the last FM album to incorporate that great, lounging So. Cal pop/rock sound, FM's most "romantic" album to date. But Lindsey had the weakest material overall on both Mirage and Tango because he was working so hard to perfect everyone else's songs. Tango has also not aged very well with its synthetic productions. (Say You Will will have the same problem.)

I agree, some good to great songs but as for timeless production, I don't think so. Everyone (a hyperbole, but whatever) always talks about why Rumours etc ages so well and it has a lot to do with how it, and the first four albums, really don't sound like TITN or SYW, imo.
