Default Favorite Lindsey ~ Live or Rare ~

I can never isolate one favorite, and usually end up with a Top Five List.

Whenever I am feeling blue ... (I put myself into time-out and I listen to this song.)

You Do or You Don't (Live WAshington, DC 1993)

Anybody else care to contribute?

hiya Betsy,

well, I lost all my rare stuff when my iPod was wiped clean.

But, I really dug the ISA from NYC and LA shows on the recent tour.

I also like ISA from the San Juan show in 1992...

I havent heard any "boots" of Turn it On from the UTS tour...but he was rockin it in Knoxville. Great song live.

I don't know if it's "rare" but Time Bomb Town is one of my Top 5 Lindsey songs.

It's pretty high up on my list, too.

off topic for just a moment, but i just noticed this... where the hell have all the threads gone?! there's only 7 showing up. i'm sure the others would pop up in search results, but still.. that's a ton of purging!

You think so? But my setting is just for the last 2 weeks. Maybe we haven't posted more stuff in this forum in the last 2 weeks.

I know a lot of people don't like it and some outright hate it, but one of my favorite random Lindsey tracks is his cover of "Here Comes the Sun". He takes it and makes it very Lindsey and while it's quite far from the original version of the song, I like the way he makes it his own. And I LOVE the guitar on it.

And as far as the threads go, it's because there's only been seven active threads in the past two weeks! Eek!

I don't hate it at all. Maybe I'd feel differently if I was a big Harrison fan, but I'm not. Thinking of covers, I love Lindsey's Big Yellow Taxi.

I love Linds...but his version of Here Comes the Sun was...sub par. The fingerpicking was alright...I dont know what he was thinking with the vocals though. Oh well.

Big Yellow Taxi, however, is...pretty good.

I definitely agree with you, it's a great take on a classic. Very Lindsey-fied

Two of my recent favorite listens are:

Shuffle Riff (Gift of Screws)

and

Deep Dense (Village Recorder Sessions) http://www.sendspace.com/file/6j7r8i

I'm out of my mind about Deep Dense. The only two GOS things I wanted Lindsey to officially release were Miranda and Deep Dense. He owes me one.

Also, if he could finish Given Thing, I wouldn't even make him record it. Just "leak" the finished version. I ask so little. Baby once in awhile think about me.

Can anyone post "Big Yellow Taxi" (again)? I still don't have it and the links in past threads are expired.
