Default underground

Is there something I'm missing? There's a song titled Underground on the album which I haven't heard yet and he uses the word in DYMM and LRD (haven't even heard the other half of the album yet). Has Lindsey been living underground lately or something?

Yes you are correct, Lindsey has said somewhere along the way "Underground" is the theme of the album

The lyrics to Underground sound like his experiences with Gift Of Screws and the record company rejecting it:

Give us a song but don’t live what you sing
Say what you mean but please don’t mean a thing

I think I might wander underground
I think I might wander underground

They heard 15 seconds and that was enough
The idea was new but the business was rough

I think I might wander underground
I think I might wander underground

I go to my lover, we lay on our bed
Did I sell my heart for the dreams in my head?

I think I might wander underground
I think I might wander underground

I like your interpretation, Sharon. Seems plausible.

They lay what on their bed?
