Green Manalishi - Mistake?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTvKaLW5bu8
I was listening on GM on the way home from a gig tonight, and had to play it over and over(no pun intended). At 1:42 ish... I SWEAR where John plays the rundown from the D, that the C he plays is a mistake. It should be a C#(IMHO), and they just left it on the recording, or didn't notice, or....? Sorry, that note was driving me crazy(and it's a short trip), that I kept playing it over again and again.... Your thoughts?

There are 2 bass parts; they both play.

It just sounds like it should be a C# instead of a C.

Are you referring to the bass panned right? I believe that is Peter Green on the Fender VI. I believe McVie's bass part to be centered. It sounds in place to me, very gothic or medieval.
On a side note, listening in quality headphones I can really hear some awesome lead work Green played around the edges... I would have bumped that solo up a few db's at the end! |
