Same! Northern Star is a gorgeous, gorgeous track. Say what you want about Dan Perfect, but his songwriting is ace. And Christine's singing makes it all the more delectable.

There were two rounds of polls. All of them didn't make it.

While "Don't Stop" and "Got A Hold On Me" are not my favorite Christine tracks (by a long shot), THEY ARE two of her biggest hits. I don't see how you could call the album THE DEFINITIVE COLLECTION without including those tracks. "Don't Stop" may perhaps be her most well known track of all. "Got a Hold On Me" was her biggest solo hit. It should be included.

So, remove one of the solo tracks from "In The Meantime". It does not need to be represented by two tracks here. You could also remove "Love Shines". "The Smile I Live For" is a much stronger solo track, though not included.

One more thing, if "COME A LITTLE BIT CLOSER" is removed from this compilation, there is no justice. It's one of the most sublime recordings in FLEETWOOD MAC history. To remove it for a lackluster track from "In The Meantime" would be highway robbery!

I don't much care for "Don't Stop"....It is overplayed.....but you can't leave it off because of its iconic status. This would be like releasing a LED ZEPPLIN DEFINITIVE COLLECTION and NOT including "Stairway to Heaven". It just can't be done.

i am still confused as to why Don`t Stop didn`t make it in the first place? This was supposed to be DEFINITIVE CHRISTINE McVIE wasn`t it? and not `our favorite songs`... I don`t even like AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW, but it does qualify for said criteria - it was the FIRST single after Lindsey, it charted well enough, AND was in heavy rotation on radio,MTV and VH1 at the time - so how is that NOT definitive? Again, I am so confused? (heck, two years ago I had a much, MUCH younger boyfriend - was 40 he was 27- who knew every word to both songs before we even started going out...) lol

People didn't vote for it. The process is laid out pretty comprehensively in the contest's main thread. These songs weren't chosen by debate or rationale, they were done purely by vote. I don't think I voted for it either, and I imagine that's because I thought it'd be covered by most other voters anyway. I don't think any of us really expected it to not get it, and it does seem silly to omit, that's why we're doing this poll now.

I voted for it first round and didn't vote for it second round. Now that I see some of the songs that did get in, I think Don't Stop deserves to be there more than they do. However, I could easily envision a scenario of stellar songs which would leave me perfectly happy to have Don't Stop excluded.

That scenario did not occur, however.
