I just had one of my Les Pauls modded. It was a Les Paul special with 2 P-90 single coil pick ups. I asked the tech to reverse the wiring on the bridge pick up. The middle position now has that weird sort of out of phase sound. ( I know its not really out of phase). It has a lot of bite like a Tele because of the single coils but it's got that weird quack to it that is in the in between postions on a strat. I like it a lot. It sounds somewhat like Peter's sound but a little more biting.

Which is probably due to the fact that they are single coils.
Do you have loss of output power as a consequence of the out of phase combination? I had it when I rewired one of my Ibanez LP humbucker pick-ups.

Default what does it sound like?

Can you post samples of the tonal variations? I know I am interested in the results.

It does lose volume when both pickups are on. But not a lot. I don't know how to post the tone. If you tell me I will try.

Default posting a recorded sound

Dear Kickshoot

To record your guitar playing digitally is the first step. If you have access to a computer it is pretty easy to record up to 60 seconds using the sound recorder built right into windows without actually buying anything. All you would need is an adapter reducing the ¼ inch guitar cable to a 1/8 input to plug in to the mic in/ or the line in of your sound card. Be sure to adjust the volume of the sound recorder so it is loud enough to hear. It records as wav files. If you have more sophisticated stuff, great.

If you have itunes or even windows media player you can take the file recorded and convert it to an MP3 file. This file can be uploaded into youtube or google video as a post. The hot link can be put in your Ledge post.
The result will look like what zoork1 posted a little while ago on this thread.. Or if you want you cou could just send the file to anyone who wants it. I would be interested.

Yes thats me in the UFC shirt. The name of the band is the Ram Daddies. It is the first gig I have done in 24 years. We put the band together for this event. I think we may play more.
