No you're not the only one. Assclown indeed. "Soul PaDroll" I too like his voice at times, when it's not being covered up by pointless "yeah!"s and "hey!"s or distorted when he does that stupid scoleosis dance.

And Kat's dancing is manic because she really wants to do stripper moves a la Slutney and Xtina, so she goes as far as she can on a G-rated show then gets self-conscious and backs off. But I'd still rather watch her than listen to her. She's not even pitchy anymore, just screechy.

So for me that leaves Elliott, whose voice (& Stevie vibrato) gives me chill bumps every single time he sings, but who has little stage presence & doesn't really put on a show. Or Chris, who's all show in my book. It should be an interesting few weeks.

katharine wants to be a pole dancer so bad she can, well, taste it. I bet she's had more men on the AI set than Mr. Seacrest.

and elliott is love. he's so sweet...poor mr. thomnas...little elf. we can work on them ears and those teeth that could put black and decker out of business.

Did you notice how he shouted "Soul Patrol" 3 times in a row at one point?

It was like he was a wind-up toy who didn't know what to do with himself. Yikes. I think he's probably a really great guy and on a personal level I like him, but he just goes overboard sometimes with the schtick. If he'd just tone it down some it wouldn't be so bad. That said, I don't think he's got the best voice in this competition so I don't think he should be in the final much less win the whole thing. I like his voice, I like the quality of it, but it's just not elastic enough, he can't really go beyond a certain register without straining or looking uncomfortable.

Speaking of Taylor's floor fall... Did anyone else notice that his shirt was open a bit at the bottom and his gut was poking out? It was on camera for half a second, and they quickly panned up and zoomed in on his & Ryan's faces.

And is the microphone kick/miss on YouTube or anywhere? Posterity...

I see what everyone is saying about Elliott, but he is NOT ugly. Just normal looking. And compared to some other contestants from years past, he's Brad Pitt. (Scott Savol anyone? Ruben Studdard?) He has the best voice, and it's a *singing* competition, Paula! (Abdul, not sckin...

) Besides, just remember his average joe looks won't bother you when you're grooving to his CD ... or better yet getting some while it plays in the background.

YES. And I never used to notice it, and it never really bothered me until someone (you?) pointed it out a few weeks back. So, whoever it was, thanks for that.

and did anyone happen to notice Screecharine's stomach during her last song? was that her stomach showing while she was wearing that purple number? I don't have anything negative to say about it, cause at least it looked flat and tan...more than I can say for myself right now. just sayin.

I'd love him at a crawfish boil (even though I don't eat seafood - they are still fun) or at a bar in New Orleans and I'd enjoy him...without looking. but AI, he ain't.

I agree. This really isn't his venue. He has the annoying habit of looking at the camera. You would think he'd have learned not to do that by now.

speaking of looking at the camera...Chris has gotten really bad about doing that with an open-mouth pout kind of thing. sometimes it's attractive, but mostly it's not. he looked rather nice tho in that white shirt outfit last night.
