Stevie's wearing an outfit from the Street Angel tour for the Tom Petty bit!! A nice change from that same black jacket/dress thing she's been fond of lately, IMO.

good catch! that is from the SA tour. I knew I'd seen the top before but couldn't place.

That wig and shoulder pads and shawl make her look bustier than she actually is. Maybe her Street Angle clothes are all that are fitting her right now? Girl has a big bootay and bust lately.

I liked seeing her at least TRY to do something different with her hair though. Did she wear frankenboots all night again?

Stevie Nicks and Jimmy Fallon recreate 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around' video


Jimmy Fallon wasn't content to simply do another great musical impersonation on "The Tonight Show" Wednesday — he took the extra step and actually recreated a classic music video.

With his best shaggy blond mop on and a guitar in his hands, Fallon became Tom Petty opposite Stevie Nicks for her 1981 tune "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around." On a bare-bones set with nothing but the band and a few mic stands — just like in her classic video — the duo crooned the tune, which Petty had originally penned as a Heartbreakers song.

Nicks' fans were excited to see her on the late-night show. [twitter posts were cited]

For those who didn't get enough of the songstress, she'll be touring with Fleetwood Mac this fall. The band announced on TODAY last month that Christine McVie was rejoining the band for the tour after a 15-year absence.

"The Tonight Show" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.

Stevie Nicks — objectively one of the coolest people alive and if anyone would like to dispute that just DO NOT– stopped by the Tonight Show Wednesday night and teamed up with host Jimmy Fallon to recreate her 1981 hit “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.” Fallon played the part of Tom Petty, who sings along with Nicks in the chorus and the bridge.

Fallon does a pretty convincing Petty, but the highlight here is clearly Stevie Nicks, because she’s Stevie Nicks.

The past is present this week on The Tonight Show where Jimmy Fallon is getting in on this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrations, welcoming a handful of inductees and other special musical guests to the show.

Nirvana's Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl stopped by on Wednesday, where they chatted with Fallon and introduced that night's musical guests: Stevie Nicks and "Tom Petty" — a.k.a. Fallon in a blonde mop-top wig — who re-created the video for the pair's 1981 collaboration "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" off Nicks' solo debut, Bella Donna.

Complete with an old school studio setup and throwback fashion, Nicks and Fallon give an excellent performance faithful to the original track, but made sure to have some fun when aping the clip's goofier elements — nothing says "early days of music videos" like a slow-motion twirl.

Fallon will welcome Kiss to The Tonight Show on Friday following their induction into the Rock Hall on Thursday. It'll be a fitting cap to a music-heavy week that's found Hall and Oates' John Oates sitting in with the Roots (drummer Questlove will induct the pop duo), and performances from Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens) and Nas with Q-Tip. And while not Rock Hall-related, Fallon and Anne Hathaway busted out a medley of hip-hop tracks Tuesday night—from Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice" to Kendrick Lamar's "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe"—in a Broadway show tunes style.

I was expecting the same thing as you. Strangely, they played a vocal and music track but Stevie sang the song live with the girls yet you could still hear the backing track at times also.
