How do you feel about tribute bands?

Why be offended?

Not everyone can get to see the real Fleetwood Mac. A tribute band can be the next best thing

I have seen several of these online, and there are plenty. They exaggerate Stevie vocals so that they all sound like munchkin goats. They never sing with soul and feeling. Show me someone who can imitate a crazed Rhiannon frenzy and you might get my attention. If it's good. I would be way to critical to see FM. Now other bands I could deal with.

You've never seen my best friend Lisa do Rhiannon with the tribute band Fleetwood Bac!

What's the name of your band, and when is your next gig? I live in Massachusetts and would be interested in your gig schedule.

I disagree. I think "Stevie" is pretty good. "Christine," on the other hand, is horrible. Her country diva style of singing is nothing like the real Christine. And she doesn't play keyboards.

I have seen one tribute band here in the UK, "Rumours of Fleetwood Mac" .. which I quite enjoyed. I think it's about expectations though.. and mine were pretty low, so I was pleasantly surprised.

I guess you have to give them all at least some credit... I mean.. if you're thinking of putting together any kind of tribute band.. there are mucchhhh easier options than The Mac!!
