Mark You will love it.As you know .I've been a fan of country music since I was in middle school.

Its relaxing especially the older tunes.

Today's country is more like lite rock.

Not recommended.

Foot note.I will never dump my CD's or vinyl after if I ripped them to MP3.

Unless they were homemade.

I dont trust the digital medium for archiving anything. Its to flaky .

If the digital media gets corrupted .Say goodbye to your tunes.

Thats another reason why I'm being a beach about the iTunes digital download of Stevie/FM tunes and videos.

If you dont back it up.Its gone forever.

Unless send the media to a data-recovery specialist for a kings ransom to recover the data.

I had it done twice,

I thought you were anti MP3? I got your e mail. I'll be selling the CD's, but if I have some you absolutely must have, they're yours.

Ok thanks.I love mp3's .For free only. Not buying them.I want the real thing.

Tonight .My record buddy left another box of 40 records in front of his house for me to pick up.

Its a mix bag of everything from Judy Collins to Bing Crosby to 50s collection abums to 80,90's 2000's dance mix to 70's Ktel disco to Lilles in the Field movie soundtrack to rap mix of Run DMC .

No Stevie or FM in this batch.

I agree. I must admit I am sometimes skeptical as to whether there actually is a real difference between the genres anymore. It seems to me like country these days is just rock with a bit of a twangy accent on the lyrics. People who say they like "all music except Country" baffle me, in that regard. I think they react more to the association Country music has to social conservativism than to the actual music.

Enjoy, vivfox! Let us know some of the highlights of what you get.

Yes I agree. It seems like they are all getting mix with each other.

back when I fist started listening to country music in the 1970's rock/pop artists were called crossover artists and country artists were doing the same too on the pop charts.

Today its a mix bag of everything now on the charts.

I still enjoy todays country tunes .But I love listening to my classic country tunes over the newer tunes.

Oh, I would love to get my hands on all the K-tell album releases. A lot of those songs ended up being remixes and the sound quality was superb. Anytime I ever got lucky enough to have found one in a thrift store or yard sale, no matter what the condition, I bought it.

It's going to be hard to transition from hip hop to country, but somehow I will manage.

AMEN! I hate digital media because the file formats will keep changing. I ALWAYS back up all of my mp3s on CD, or, even better, just buy the CD or Vinyl.

I'm rather addicted to geoguessr. It's this website that generates random google streetview locations, and you guess where it is by clicking on a map.

http://geoguessr.com/

I can't stop. I must know where the next place is. The website is a trap. But... yes! Play it!

It's a light rainy day and I have the ventless dryer operating. The windows are open and I keep on going back and forth from being too hot to a bit chilly and back. I hope I don't catch a cold from this.

Unhappy Sad weather...

here, for the second day in a row the OKC metro was hit by a large F4-F5 tornado:

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/...205548879.html

On the positive side of things, I now own a new PC and I am starting to re-add my music editing programs onto the HD - so I will soon be trading music yet again...

and today is my 1st day off in 16 days!!!

I got my copies of "Gift of Screws" and SYW Limited Edition (not together, they came a day apart). The limited edition is used and that's the reason for the rubber band.

The shoes are from Macy's and they're Keds. I thought they were kinda cool.

You forgot to put the CD on the bed before you took the picture.

I know. Sorry, I was using my phone when I posted those and for some reason the pic of the CD's was not showing up when I posted them.

Now I'm on my new laptop (hooray!) and I just edited it and it showed up fine.
