Default Who wrote Frozen Love?

Who wrote Frozen Love? Is it lyrics by Stevie, music by Lindsey? Or did they collaborate on this?

I've heard Stevie say she "gave" Lindsey half credit on it because of the "beautiful" guitar solo in the middle that he wrote. She said it took a year for him to get it all worked out just right.

I think it's a killer song - both words and music.

I remember reading somewhere they were kind of "his" and "hers." Like, they wrote the verses separately or something like that, but possibly the majority of the words were Stevie and musically I am thinking more of Lindsey. I am speculating on the latter part because I can't remember at all where I read/heard that.

I am, too. I think Stevie had little involvement in the musical structure & syntax of the song -- too many of its elements (from chord progression to the use of the appoggiatura to the use of some unusual meter & pauses) would more logically derive from very skillful guitar playing. (In a similar way, you can hear the important role that piano-playing skill takes in many Elton John songs. You can "hear" that those songs weren't initially written on guitar. The nature of the piano itself is too integral to the musical structure.)

But the words sound like her, especially in those days when she was lyrically a little tougher & more blunt.
