10 Least Favourite Rumours-era songs
We do a lot of 10 Bests.
Here’s a challenge: 10 LEAST favourite Rumours-era songs. I’m thinking this should be Lindsey-Stevie-Christine era and not include SYW or EP.

I tried this morning, and was having a hard time coming up with 10 I don't like. Well, I don't remember half the titles on BTM...
So - Storms Warm Ways Beautiful Child Oh Daddy Caroline Half of BTM!(I love Skies and Save Me, Do You Know, and Love Is Dangerous - the rest is MEH)

Oh Diane
Silver Springs (Studio) Not That Funny (Studio) Cool Water Dreams Goodbye Angel Paper Doll Bleed To Love Her Welcome To The Room Sara Landslide (Live) If I put studio, it means I love the live version. If I put live, it means I love the studio version. I replaced Blue Letter with Cool Water. Forgot about that clunker.

Mystified
When I See You Again Empire State Family Man One More Night My Little Demon Oh Diane Can't Go Back The Ledge That's Enough For Me Save Me A Place (honorable mention) Lindsey's Mirage songs sucked. Having trouble coming up with the last two(three), so I plugged some Lindsey Tusk songs in. |

different strokes. Book of Love is good. So not all of his songs sucked.
Of the five Rumours era albums, Mirage is definitely at the bottom for me. Last edited by jwd; 07-31-2020 at 06:44 PM.. |

I'd say that's my favorite Lindsey song off the album. Was that released as a single? I forget.

(I've said it before...) I'll never forget riding around with my older friends driving, and the piano intro for Hold Me would come on, and I'd scream at everyone to STFU, and CRANK THE DAMNED RADIO!!!! I was never so excited to hear ANYTHING in my entire life. So Mirage holds a very special place in my heart. I probably even like Oh Diane then!!! Actually, I did...

I don't get the Empire State hate. Those harmonies swirling around sound so much like you listened to them after you sucked the fumes out of a NYC taxi cab tail pipe. I loved it then and now. I also LOVE Mystified, those harmonies are sublime and that solo is so melodic. The song is a sleepy tropical dreamlike song. Hey it's not rocking but I like mood songs too.
