But also, Dolly looks like she’s been unplugged from the matrix. They both need to take a look at their heads.

Dolly wears wigs, quite famously. https://www.countrythangdaily.com/do...n-without-wig/

Cool! And I liked that of all the guest artists she names (Paul McCartney, Steve Perry, Pink, Brandi Carlisle) around that 2:00 mark, Stevie is the one who gets applause!

Stevie's version:

Rumble out of that bed and head to the kitchen
Pouring myself a glass of inspiration or something French.....champagne
Stretching and trying to come alive
Jump in the bath and my heart starts pumping
People like me singing it to ya

Singing it to ya
What a way to make a living
barely getting by
all taking and sometimes giving
Somtimes you get used
and you dont get credit
its enough to drive you wild...wild baby
Singing it to ya
for service and devotion
what about a promotion
moving forward but Mick does not seem to let me
I swear sometimes that man is out to get me
the sky never expects it working 9 to 5

I have know this much longer than I've known you
I know what it sounds like working 9 to 5
I know what it feels like working 9 to 5
Say hey hey now

This.........is........serious........
Would you like to say something to the audience?

I'd love to be a fly on the wall for this session. Dolly seems like the type that she's going to do 15 takes until she gets the vocal just right...Stevie these days is not at all about that life.

She still loves to tell the stories about Don Henley and Kenny Loggins being task masters in the studio...

If only someone could zoom in and see if some lyrics are on the papers on the board! I tried but don't have any good tools.

And I bet Dolly ate those stories up, too! I highly doubt that Dolly had heard any of those stories before. Unlike us, who read and follow every word any of them say, Dolly hasn’t, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a kick out of hearing them. And likewise, I expect Dolly shared some of her stories of recording with different artists as well. Dolly aphas worked with some incredible folks in the past, and I would love to hear stories about Porter Waggoner, Kenny Rogers, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, etc. Stevie could definitely learn a thing or two from Dolly.

Dolly has stated that she wanted to use a cattle prod to get Linda Ronstadt to work during the recording of the second Trio album. I hoped that she saved that prod for Stevie because compared to her Linda was a pro and a workaholic.

FFS let's pray that the writing was left to Dolly.
