Whew... it's a good thing I'm not searching for approval!

Well I don't agree either, but as I remember, chili D said both Stevie and Lindsey were the worst thing that ever happened to Fleetwood Mac. And The Dance kind of confirm it. I don't agree with that either, but I think that being the lovingest fightingest band ended up ruining the legacy.

But had Rick Vito joined the band in 1975, would there have been albums selling millions in the United States?

I don't think so. Since the albums would have been completely different. Not only because Lindsey wouldn't be here. Even if just Stevie were in the band (in a hypothetical parallel universe), she wouldn't have written Dreams, Silver Springs, etc.

Lindsey is what made the difference in their songs becoming hits.

Although idiots were always quite mesmerized by the spinning, drunken sailor(although that didn't make the songs the cream that they are).

Hey Homer, how about laying off the name calling? This is at least the second time you’ve called people idiots. It is one of the few rules we’re supposed to follow here.

He's talking about the general masses all buying into the fake relationship, and the spinning, witch personality, super model looks, etc. He's not talking about anyone here.

I didn't specify anyone, other than the general public. When you start paying my bills, you can start giving me orders. Got it?

Ok but with all respect I find unfair to call them idiots. Macfan4life has an interesting point about the Billboard best singer list, at my thread in Stevie's forum:

I don't agree to place Stevie at N.2 best singer, but she is, or was, quite an artirst. I don't think the reactions Mick refers to, made them idiots.

As opposed to the idiots who buy into the fake relationship, Bride of Frankenstein hair, no personality, quitter with super model looks? Not that I’m talking about anyone here.

I would not call them idiots. They are cultists. I am a former cultist. I promoted Stevie's world at every turn. Her lyrics made it into my world history thesis presentations in school. I worshipped at the alter with posters all over my room. I spun around the house in shawls. I drank a bottles of tequilla and Jack Daniels and did copious amounts of blow. When she grabbed my hands during an edge walk, I almost fainted and lost my way home driving that night leaving the concert.
Then one day I left the cult.

I left the cult, too. I used to get mad when Wild Heart didn't do better on the charts. Especially, Nightbird. I was also mad there wasn't a video for Nightbird.

Everything I wrote in that post was true. None of it was made up. And you know what, I feel your pain. I felt the same way, pure anger at her and her record company for releasing Nightbird. We had the same feelings.
I also hid my disgust for RAL because I HAD to like it
