Default Your favorite Chris cover photo?

One of the many great features of LPs, as opposed to CDs, is the size of the covers. I used to spend so much time just looking at the record covers while I was listening to my records. I've always thought Christine had a look about her, an earthiness, an approachability; in so many Fleetwood Mac album pictures she looks like somebody you could sit down with to share a pot of tea and shoot the breeze about whatever you had in mind.

I think of cover photos like the one on Penguin where the guys are all up on a tree branch, and Chris is standing below them with a silly, delighted look; or how happy (and cold) she looks in the picture with the band on the Christine Perfect album; or the warm smile she is wearing on the cover photo of In the Meantime; or the great series of pictures of the whole band where she winds up hugging Stevie on the back of Rumours (that's the kind of thing that doesn't translate to CD sized covers). Just love those pictures.

What is YOUR favorite Christine McVie cover photo?

I've always been fond of the one on the inside of Mystery To Me. But I must say that I don't know who she's trying to fool, but the cover of In The Meatime cannot possibly be her! I refuse to believe it. It frightens me too much.

That cover is friggin' ridiculous! I'm glad she looks more human in the booklet pics.

I'll go with the inside of Mystery To Me.

I like the Mystery to Me photo as well but I think the Heroes picture is also pretty good.

Someone got a little over enthusiastic with Photoshop on the front cover of ITM. I mean it doesn't even look like her! The first time I saw it I thought nice picture - who is it?

The picture on the back is much better.

Here's another vote for the inside cover of Mystery To Me. She looks fantastic in that picture! I also really like the Christine Perfect & Christine McVie(at the piano on a hill) covers, as well as the inside gatefold picture of her in Penguin. I also like the Rumours pictures of her in that album insert. I don't really like either the Dance or In The Meantime cover pictures of her. There are better pictures of her in the booklets of both albums. She even joked a little about that airbrushed picture of her on ITM.

I like the look on her face on the cover of the 1977 rolling stone.

I once saw an alternative band photo for the back of the Heroes LP where she looked fantastic. Her head was on John's shoulder...Anyone else see this? I saw it on a documentary somewhere.

But if I choose any existing pic of her on an album, I'd say it's the black and white one with her and the band on the inside sleeve of Tusk (record one). She looks pretty mysterious in that one...
