Default Christine on Kiln House

I am wondering if anyone can tell me the extent of Christine on this album. I'm mostly interested in pre-rumours because of Bob Welch and Chris. I know she does background vocals on the album - but I have no idea if there are a lot of vocals and if they can really be heard.

If you could tell me before I buy the album, that would be great.

(I hid my signature for you all - but I can't hide the avatar. Just don't look at it! )

I can clearly hear her on Station Man and Mission Bell but it's hard for me to pick her out on the other tracks. She plays keyboards on the album and drew the cover art. I must admit that I've not listened to this album in its entirety for awhile so hard for me to recall too many specifics.

This is worth a watch--it's some Kiln House footage.

That's some good stuff, although those damn fireworks just get in the way.

Here's a live STATION MAN I never heard:

She sang on Station Man. I used to think she was doing most of the keyboard parts (especially on Tell Me) but Jeremy Spencer himself wrote on this very board that he played all the keyboard parts on that record. I believe him!

Christine's vocal is very noticeable on both tracks mentioned above. It's not like you have to struggle to hear her in the mix. Especially on "Mission Bell," her backing vocal is very prominent and adds a lot to the track .

It's a great album, and Christine's contributions just make it better.

But I'd recommend getting it anyway even if Chris wasn't on the album. If you (like me) are interested in the Welch/McVie years, then Danny Kirwan's music is a big part of that, and you can't fully appreciate Danny without hearing this album.

Thanks a lot for your input, everyone. I do want to get the album in the near future.

Ah, ok. I don't have "Madison Blues." I have "Jumping at Shadows," which is material, studio & live, from earlier.

It always smacked of Jeremy to me re the keyboard adornments for Kiln House, if you know his style it fits, but I too was thrown for a major loop on Tell Me All The Things You Do. Damn if that doesn't smack of Christine on the [] Wurlitzer! [] on that particular track. Just goes to prove one ought never underestimate the extent of the musical prowess of one Jeremy Spencer, either on the keys or that fabulous slide of his. Kiln House is as good a proving ground of this as anything else.
