So it's looking a dead cert that I'll get my trip to America and Lindsey treat at the end of this year. I'm so excited! And intrigued by the idea of Lindsey's album being reminiscent of Out of The Cradle. Especially considering the grape vine consensus seemed to be Under The Skin.

Well I got all sorts of sh*t to look forward to now. Lindsey and Stevie releasing records. And lionsgate releasing the rest of Boy Meets World. I'm in heaven

This is all too much to take! But I'll take it... Love OOTC and can't imagine how he can compare just voice and guitar on this to that... but he said it's a real mixed bag so we'll see... Happy to hear he'll be out on the road. His show was one of the best sounding experiences I'd ever had at a live show.

Perhaps the comparison means that this one will be more consistently: pretty.

I'm really trying to be happy for Lindsey... but it kinda makes me sad that he is homeless and wondering what to do with himself. Same with FM. Fleetwood Mac and Warner Brothers is like the Beatles and EMI or Led Zeppelin and Atlantic. They are just so inextricably linked that it pains me to hear that FM, if they ever record another album, may have to go indie or to some B-list label like Nonesuch or Rhino. I mean, think of one artist/band that thrived after going from a major to an indie.

My gut tells me that Lindsey pretty much has no choice but to release it himself. No other majors will touch him, and any interested indie would not be able to afford him.

Define "thrived." Cheap Trick has gone the alternative route (self-release? amazon-exclusive) and released their best album--The Latest--since 1979's Dream Police. Considering how weak they got in the 80s it's actually a miracle they recorded an album as wonderful as The Latest.

to me he seems pretty certain what he wants to do and happy to be out of WB. what have they done for him lately, other than interfere with any self promotion (not that Lindsey does much of that but there were those youtube videos...).

"Out of the Cradle" is my favorite Lindsey CD, actually one of my favorite CDs of any artist. To me, it's his "Bella Donna."

I wonder if they're lining up around the block in hopes of signing the graying rock star who sells his forthcoming product thus:

I'm a Stevie fan first and foremost, but Out Of The Cradle totally blows Bella Donna out of the water. I personally think Out Of The Cradle is as good as Fleetwood Mac's best albums: Tusk and Mystery To Me... maybe better! I don't have the highest hopes Lindsey will come close to replicating the substantive beauty and emotion Out Of The Cradle possessed, but I'm so excited about the album regardless!

Fleetwood Mac will end up back at Warner Bros if they record another album... mark my word. I don't think that's the best thing for them, but it's what'll happen regardless. Like flies to sh!t!
