Good for Christine! She's in awfully good company with the others on that list. I wonder if she attended the awards ceremony to pick up her awards certificate.

Thanks for posting.

If not, they'll mail it to her anyway.

Thanks for posting this.

She got an award last year from the BMI.

Maybe she didn't feel like going again

Congratulations to Christine!

Why are the Beatles songs credited only to John?
Especially when the songs in question are written by Paul.

and is Build me up buttercup really written by Mike D´abo?
Quite a fall from Handbags and gladrags.

Probably because they were billed as Lennon/McCartney...since Lennon always comes first sometimes Paul is left off. Happens all the time with the song 'Yesterday' and John had nothing to do with that at all.

And me too! I'm interested in Christine!!! I didn't know about this latest tidbit about Christine McVie!!! I just don't post a lot because I usually don't have a lot to say other than "Christine has such an awesome voice! I love her songs! She's soooo underrated!"

But anyway, thanks for sharing!

fmfanatic, I could not agree with you more!

I was just thinking that she probably has one of the best female singing voices. It is really a shame she doesn't release more stuff...

I just dont post here a lot because I have nothing to say really.

I'm extremely interested in Christine. But I don't have that much to say except what I have said many times before: Christine was a rock 'n' roll pioneer, performing the three roles of singer, songwriter, and musician, in a band on equal terms with the men in the band, for perhaps the first time in popular music history.

Oh, and she has an awesome voice, too. <LOL>

the problem is that she is retired and so there's not much new to talk about.

I doubt if we'll see any more new music from our Tea Lady and as it's difficult to think of new things to discuss we can only really go over old ground.

Things like this award should really be announced on her own website but that has died a death as far as I can tell (the latest news is from 2004!)

But as I said I think she really is retired this time so I don't suppose she's all that fussed.

I know. But I still hold out hope---I have this weird feeling one more record's coming...I don't know why I have this feeling (maybe it's delusion?) but I have it.
