I think that he's making time to make it, so that's a good sign

But of course, we all like to see it happen real soon.

Personally I hope his new album will be very guitar-driven. And after that, I hope there will be a new FM album...

that's a scary press release because Gift of Screws was 10% "to go" for 3 years.

I'm going to go even further and predict the MONTH it will be released, and I'm going to say JUNE 2005.

I don't think he'll release anything on his own. He's probably working on songs -- he's always working on songs -- but the album won't actually be released.

I do think he'll work with Fleetwood Mac again, however.

Well, I certainly hope so, but-as I mentioned a couple of times before- I say September 23 this year.

So I voted for summer, because fall was not an option (????????)

And David....I think "Destiny Rules" shows that he will NOT focus on FM-only. He just can't rely on that environment 100%. And he's old enough to say
" you're never old enough to learn..."

I bet Lindsey wins the time battle with G'n'R. THAT record will never come out.

I had to be honest with myself and voted for never. But who knows, maybe we'll get a bunch of posthumous releases?

Terrible thought, I know, but it's the only way his perfectionism will cease to be an obstacle (unless someone gags him and locks him away somewhere whilst releasing the album for him)

, and I'm sure there are countless perfectly good songs that he just isn't satisfied with.

Well, I went for sometime late in the year like December because I have some hope that it'll happen, but I don't want to ask for too much. I'm really interested in hearing it because several people have heard many (or all?) of the songs that would go on it and it seems that they get nothing but praise. I hope he does put it out eventually.

No honestly I think the one and only reason his solo album hasn´t been released in November 2004 is that he does not use his ready GOS songs for it.
The only reason that might make the whole waiting acceptable would be, that instead he uses the new songs he claimed to have written during the tour.

When that thing appears in late 2005 I`ll happily apologize for my scepticism!

I think we're talking about two different things here: does Lindsey "work on" his own material, & will Lindsey release a solo album.

I think the former is demonstrably true -- as I said earlier, I imagine he works constantly all year long on his own material, using his own methods.

But I think the eventuality of the latter is dubious. Lindsey records & records & records -- on his own, with Fleetwood Mac, with other artists occasionally -- but almost none of it ever hits the shelves.

Let's hope I'm wrong. Let's hope a 4th solo album is RELEASED (as opposed to recorded). By the way, which record label is going to release this glorious new work?
