Maybe earlier in 2015. Like May as opposed to December.

Okay cool. My take is that assurance wasn't necessary because that wasn't their intention. Now, that they have all agreed to release an album sometime after this tour, we now have intention and assurance.

however, we are still stuck with another money-grabbing greatest hits tour in 2014 (spilling into 2015?), and then the album in 2015 (but at least now it seems there will be an album so that's a positive!), and then another tour i guess 2015/16.

oh yeah, and yet another bs justification of this 3rd in a row greatest hits tour. they had a full fledged reunion with the Dance, with everybody coming back not just one member. and yet at the time they felt the need to play completely new songs. what changed?

Well we don't know that they won't play something new. They haven't said they wouldn't so as of right now it's not out of the question.

true.

but this doesn't look promising at all:
"maybe the smart call was to go out and have the novelty of Christine being back in the band be the cleaner and more to-the-point place to start, and so to go out and just re-include her songs in the body of work"

seems to me he's basically saying they'll just add Christine's old songs to the rest of the old songs they've been performing. because that's the smart call, apparently.

whatever Lindsey

Clamor should be the album title.

Waiting for clamor, hoping for clamor, praying for clamor.

I am especially impatient for new material. But then I remember waiting what seemed like an eternity for Tango to come out. The band were making that album for years. Waiting is a fact of life for FM fans from 1975 onward.

Still, if this album doesn't come out by early-to-mid 2015 I'll be tempted to give up on them. Their ceaseless delays bother me that much.

I am okay with seeing them live without a new album. But I would trade that tour in a heartbeat if it meant they could finish an album and get it out before the end of 2014.

I'm afraid you're right. I'm hoping they'll throw in maybe one new song at least.

Yes, as long as it is 3 to 2, we keep the "u."

I agree. I would be happy if they work on an album in 2015 and don't tour again until 2016. But I do want one more tour with all of them. So, speaking longterm, if I could only choose between: one last tour and one last album, I honestly don't know which way I'd go.

Albums last forever, but ... I want to SEE them once more.
