Has anyone ever had anything nice to say about Eddy Quintela in this forum?

Yeah...besides being a bit physically unappealing, was he ever abusive or mean to Chris? I'm just curious. Am I in the proverbial dark on this, missing out on some juicy gossip?

I must be in the dark, too. I always thought he was a helluva guy, a great partner for Christine in those years.

He seemed hip, cool, sly, hip & cool. He played on her tour in '84 & played on American Bandstand with Christine (which brian kindly put onto DVD for me). They wrote some great songs together.

I have on occasions defended him because I don't think that one person is ever solely to "blame" for a marriage breaking up.

As I have said before Christine might have been an A1 pain in the bum to live with. (ducks)

We just don't know and it's none of our business. (doesn't stop us speculating though does it?)

I agree, although I try to not allow myself to think of her like that.
It HAD to be his fault.....just ask me!

Well, he can't really help how he looks, so that's really not his fault. I have never heard any rumors of abuse(either physical or emotional) or anything like that. He was a womanizer, that I've heard. I believe Chris ended the marriage because of his infidelity.

Don't even think that. Not our Christine. No seriously, I'm sure she has her moments, like most people. She is very strong minded. Some men don't like that.

I don't have time for serial philanderers. Why get married in the first place?

I think it is more difficult for a man to be married to a high profile woman than the other way round. We find it more hard to accept a man being financially supported by a woman but a man supporting his wife and family is accepted as the norm.

We do have to be careful not to be hypocritical about this. Christine wasn't faithfull to John was she?

I completely agree. Nobody had ever heard of Eddy Quintela before he married Chris. That may have been a factor in the problems that they eventually had(alongwith their age difference).

No, she most definitely was not faithfull to John....at least twice that we know about. Her first marriage was a little different situation. When she & John married, John was the more successfull of the two at the time. Later on, that was reversed, although I don't think that was a factor in their marriage problems.

I just wanted to say that I agree completely.
