Default I don't get it...

I don't understand why people say that Christine is out of FM. Sure, she didn't tour for say you will and you can hear her only on a few songs and she is listed as a guest, but I've read reviews of syw saying that they miss Christine, and some of the reviewers didn't seem to know that she played on it.

And last year she said something like "There isn't a day that I don't think about Fleetwood Mac", right ?

So, we might see her return for a new album...

As much as I am a LB fan, I would love to see her playing with the band again.

As much as I'd LOVE to see it, I just don't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong.

I agree 100%. I love Christine and the Rumours lineup is magical, superb, wonderful, the top!

But.. Chris seems to be retired. Yes she recorded an album but didn't tour, she doesn't want to leave England. She doesn't want to tour nor spend months in America recording a new mac album. I see she wants a quiet life. So it seems to me that she is not in the band.

She was not fired, I think she would be more than welcome if Fleetwood Mac record a new album and Chris wants to be involved but... I don't see it happening either.

I am a HUGE Stevie fan, but feel the same way. It just isn't the same without Chris!

Because Christine herself said so.

I'm not sure what that has to do with her having retired from Fleetwood Mac, unless you mean that she participated in the making of the new album. But she didn't, really. She participated in the making of Lindsey's 4th solo album many years ago, & her work was just ported over to the new Fleetwood album.

Possibly. One never knows . . . .

I feel the same way. I can't blame her for wanting to stay at home. I think she's done much more for the band than anyone expected her to do. I would love to see her back with them, but I wouldn't push for it because, from what I've read, it really isn't what she wants at all.

I think we'll see full participation from Christine on a new Mac studio album, the day the band finally decides to quit touring.

It's obvious she loves her quiet life at home in England (and she's earned the luxury to stay home), but it's also obvious from the release of 'In The Meantime,' that she still has the desire to write and record.
The touring with Fleetwood Mac seems to be the big deal-breaker.

Remove touring from the equation, and I bet Christine would be there.

I love the Buckingham & Nicks-lead 'Say You Will,' and I'm interested in hearing what more those two could do if they collaborated from the ground up on another album... but I'd also love to see Christine return. Even if it's for one final studio album with the Mac.

I think the days of Chris being a part of FM are over. Never say never, but I don't see it happening. But I do miss her very much, and if she came back, I'd be very happy.

I would agree with that, EXCEPT I don't think she'd be willing to spend any significant amount of time away from her family, dogs & home. She spent about a week or so in New York doing a little promotion for In The Meantime & she sounded as if she was already looking forward to getting back home again. I HOPE she records again because I think making In The Meantime was a lot of fun for her(and for me too listening to it). This also assumes that there will be another Fleetwood Mac album. Nothing is ever guaranteed.

Talking

I am in denial about Christine leaving.

Anyway is it technically possible for her to leave? Isn't that like divorcing your own family?

Actually I don't think she will ever record a whole album with them again. Maybe one song and some harmonies. I'm sure Lindsey would like to spend a few weeks in the English countryside which is all it would take.

We just need a coalition of the willing.

But they could tour without Chris.
I think there are 2 reasons. the tour and being in England. She doesn't want to stay in the States for long time.

So, what about recording in England? I think she doesn't want to force the 4 members to move to England for weeks or months, to record. But if they agree, why not? Now, it would be hard for those who have small children, but everything is possible.

And if everybody agree to record in England, and then touring without Chris, we could get finally a wonderful album.
