Agreed, that's why I said "headliners".....or at a push the oldie spot, not for preference ....tho Barry Gibb pulled a huge crowd.

Ain't gonna happen as long as OGB is in the pic. Where does the blame lie?

Never say never with this band. I'm still in shock that Christine is even making music and touring.

True. If such idea were doable, they would have released the BuckVie album as Fleetwood Mac and would have toured behind it.

From what I can gather Barry Gibb vied with Foo Fighters for the biggest crowd at this years festival. The biggest crowd of all time at Glasto is supposed to be Dolly Parton. If FM ever played they'd definitely be one of the headline acts. I wonder if Buckingham McVie could do the 'Legends' slot.

Barry Gibb was fabulous! I rarely watch much of Glastonbury on TV but I did catch the section with Barry Gibb followed by Chic/Nile Rodgers - they were also amazing. I knew all the songs, but had no idea how wonderful Nile Rodgers + band are live. Pure funky disco joy! He told 2 very moving stories about him volunteering after the Grenfell fire and also about beating aggressive cancer 6 years ago - very inspiring. I couldn't stop smiling and dancing on Sunday evening...wonderful....

anyway, back to FM... will they ever play Glastonbury???

You're welcome. It's this section here but maybe this is only accessible in the UK. There might be a way of playing it though

After he told his cancer story they played the most incredible version of "Get Lucky" the song he wrote with Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams just after his diagnosis.

Hope you can watch it somehow.. A really stunning performance

Default The Mac in a nutshell, per Chris

Q: Does making this album with Lindsey make you more confident or hopeful about Fleetwood Mac eventually doing another album together?

A: You just never know with us lot. You can't say yes, you can't say no. It depends on getting all five of us to agree to do the same thing at the same time. We're all strong egos, all of us, and everyone has different agendas. Stevie's having a really successful solo tour. I would like to think it would happen, but I couldn't tell you we were doing one, that would be a lie.

Q: Do egos tend to fall away when you're older, or do you get more set in your ways?

A: Some people do. I'm probably the most egoless of the lot. I don't think I have an ego. I know what I like, but I'm not very confrontational. Lindsey knows what he wants and tries to get it. Stevie knows what she wants and tries to get it. John, Mick and myself are more malleable, perhaps.

So do you have an ego or not, Chris?

Which, if it weren't for commerce, is what they should have done. It's every bit as much FM as SYW.

But I do understand them not wanting to "cheapen the brand", with a huge tour next year. People are idiots, and if they toured without Stevie this year, people would ASSume that it would be the same next year, without bothering to investigate.

Even if they'd toured with Mick and John, the press would've called it FM, and that would have cheapened the brand for next year.

IF Stevie had quit the band, this WOULD have been a FM tour this year!

Like it or not(and I ****ing HATE it), OGB holds the best cards at the table.

Oh, I totally agree! I'm aware of her power in the band. She's not as powerful as her fans want to believe, but she's in the most optimal position right now (and she has been in A LOT of positions in her life. Don't make me start! ).

The worst part is that she knows it and she's using it for her best interests. Damn her!
