Rumours is a #10 All Time Amazon Best Seller
[Obviously, it's no surprise that Rumours was a best seller for the seventies, but considering that Amazon is a recent marketplace, for Rumours to still be in the Top 10 is quite an achievement]
Web Pro News http://www.webpronews.com/amazons-be...o-much-2013-12 It’s hard to believe that this is the first time that Amazon has ever compiled all the data on total sales to bring us the most-purchased albums and songs of all time, but that’s what they’re saying. Today, on a dedicated hub, you can browse through the best-selling albums, CDs, mp3s, and songs of all time – and maybe luck out on some ideas for that hard-to-shop-for music lover. Without further ado, here’s Amazon’s best-selling album of all time (both digital and physical formats): Yeah, not too shocking, right? The King of Pop’s Thriller has sold more digital and physical copies on Amazon than any other album in history. Here’s the rest of the top 10: 2. Eagles – Their Greatest Hits 3. Billy Joel – Greatest Hits Vol 1-2 4. Pink Floyd – The Wall 5. Led Zeppelin – Led Zeppelin IV (ZOSO) 6. AC/DC – Back in Black 7. Garth Brooks – Double Live 8. Shania Twain – Come on Over 9. The Beatles – The White Album 10. Fleetwood Mac – Rumours Just FYI, Hootie & The Blowfish’s Cracked Rear View cracks the top 20 at #17. Moving along to the best-selling CDs of all time, Adele’s 21 takes the top spot, followed by Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream. http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link...d_i=1001817291 |

Amazon went online in 1995. So an 18 year old album still managed to be one of the site's biggest seller of all times. Who ARE the people buying that doggone album after 1995??
It's impressive, that's for sure. I don't think I started buying on Amazon until 2000. Michele |

looking at that top 10 list, everything on there is pretty ancient.

More adults use Amazon than kids. Like Michele said, Itunes' top ten would differ. Last edited by I'msoAfraid95; 12-13-2013 at 10:26 PM.. |

I'm sticking to the used cd copy I picked up for $5 at my local FYE. Spotify( downloadable music listening site for your computer or cell phone) has the expanded version for free, so no need, imo. I can listen to that version on my computer anytime I want.

I'm shocked that Garth and Shania are on top of that list.
I'm glad that FM is on the list. I did taped Garth's concert the other night on TV but I have not watch it yet and I noticed his ' "Blame It All on My Roots" collection on display at Walmart the other day.Garth collection is number one on the Billboard 200 album charts. Wow nice comeback for Garth.
