Fleetwood Mac Rumours and Fax
I was at this used book store here in my town, and I was looking in the art section, and there was this weird out of place book that caught my eye...it had FM on the cover...it was called "Fleetwood Mac: Rumours and Fax" or something...and I can't remember the authors...but it was copyrighted in 1978!
I have seen unauthorized bios etc...but I've never seen or heard of this one...I didn't buy it because I had no cash on me, but i Hid it and can hopefully find it if I go back...but have any of you heard of this booK? |

Yeah I have a copy. Written by Roy Carr and Steve Clarke.
It's broken down into five different sections. Introduction In Concert with full-color section(pics) The History Of Fleetwod Mac 1967-70 1970-73 1973-75 1975-77 Where They Are Now Appendix/supplementary discography All in all a pretty nice little book with some cool pics. It breaks down all the different incarnations of the bands, their singles and album releases, and well some pretty interesting "facts". Browsing through I read this: The wife of Jethro Tull's bassist Glenn Cornick, Judy Wong, told Bob Welch about the opening in Mac after Spencer left. What's rumours and what's fax...well I really don't know. Haven't read the book in a long time but it definitely looks interesting. Joe Last edited by jwd; 10-08-2002 at 10:32 PM.. |

There are some inaccuracies with photo captions...and there are some reversed photos (at least, in my copy), but other than that, it was one of the better books at the time it was released. (The best was Samuel Graham's which came out about a year before this one, if I recall correctly).

You should definitely go get it! It's a great little book.
Pip, how much did you pay for it? I got mine for free, it came from a friend's aunt. She was getting rid of all her old Mac stuff, so my friend pilfered it and gave it to me.
