Nobody is expecting her to record while on tour. You've missed the whole point of everything if that's what you think people are complaining about.

We'll, I'd love to think that. All the messages that seem to be coming out would suggest that isn't the case. Without coming out and directly saying so, Mick and Lindsey are intimidating Steve's not on board. If she was then I don't see why she wouldn't just tell them- they are band mates after all.

Seems like a strange tour at the moment- an odd atmosphere

As I've said, she probably has every intention of recording with the band, but can't say anything, not even to them, until she has finished working 24KG. If Stevie doesn't want to kill the promotion of 24KG, the last two people she would tell she was on board for a new Fleetwood Mac album would be Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham, because once they know, that's where the story goes, and any promotion for 24KG, which is already limited, goes out the window. Ultimately, that alienates the label that invested in the album, and considering that label is the one most of the catalog is on, it makes even less sense to unnecessarily burn a bridge.

And Stevie's got to be aware that Mick's been saying this for the last month. Yet, she still won't discuss an FM album. The fact that her silence on the subject has persisted since January (when Mick first said that some of them would be going into the studio, leaving fans to wonder which ones wouldn't be going into the studio) is itself news. Two months of silence may be insignificant. Ten months of it ... not so much.

Call me crazy, I'd rather have a SFV 2 rather than a Fleetwood Mac album! I have not been impressed by anything Lindsey has produced since 1987...

24k gold was 20x better than Say You Will and the EP combined because it didn't have the production that sounded stuck in the 80's. I love Lindsey to death, but I'm sick of the cheesy sounding guitars, the moaning, and the god awful whispering
I totally understand Stevie's worry of Lindsey producing because IMHO he ruined alot of good songs on SYW with awful production (although Stevie did bring some crap songs)

I swear I'm not trying to tear down his achievements, I'm just speaking truthfully

we've already had this discussion previously…. talking about doing a FM album sometime in the future is NOT going to in anyway impact her promotion for 24k or lose her sales. That's just silly.

Again, she can be imprecise about the timeline… all she has to do is say "RIght now we're on tour and I've got my solo album, so what comes after that for FM will be worked out after that"
or
"there's still more to come from this band and when we finish this tour and I do my solo thing we'll reconvene and decide our next move"

I mean how much more vague can you get than that, but yet at least acknowledge the pink elephant in the room that yes there will be SOMETHING else for FM down the line besides this tour

Well if you find calling 24K's sound very much like Bella Donna not stuck in the 80's....
Lindsey's last couple of solo albums have gotten rave reviews, even Stevie loved his last one.

Why even respond to this opinion, it is evidently clear they are speaking nonsense. I mean look at their join date.

Odd perspective. She's never played casinos (she did a standing show in Vegas like Elton John and Celine Dion have...that's not the same thing). Her least selling solo album has sold 300,000 copies. And she got great notice for her AHS appearances.

You don't like her, but that's no reason to just make stuff up.

well yeah, but how exactly is that different from ~80% of posts here?

i'm looking at the several threads about my topic of interest, like the new FM album one, why are S and L fighting one, and Stevie still not on board one, and i can just laugh. cluelessness plus self-righteousness is a potent combination.

Actually I do like her (so maybe it's you making stuff up with poor assumptions.) I just think she's very full of herself at times and don't have no problem calling out any of FMAC.

Whilst driving to Palm Springs saw an ad of her concert at a local casino and hotel. Also, didn't want to see Rod Stewart with her. That's a downgrade. My point being, she's not quite the draw you think she is. I didn't see her selling out venues all across the USA.

Glad she got great reviews on AHS. I just thought she looked ridiculous. Everyone has an opinion.

I love your posts. You seem like you've been a fan for a long time. I started in 1974.
