I was surely not "rubbed the wrong way" by the comment... I saw a (understandable from the commercial point of view) degree of underrating Christine's contributions to the musical sound of the band... kind of implying it. That's why I wanted to hear more interpretations about it from fans of Lindsey or Stevie. Being a Christine fan myself, it was easy for me to just take the comment and think it was a Christine-bashing think or whatever. I now see it as a commercial movement (Sorcerer had a great point of view in this) and, even though I'm still amazed at some point by the comment, I understand it more now.

And of course they need to move on, as they have moved on with all of the previous departures. That's what Fleetwood Mac is about isn't it.

May I suggest the same advice to you.

Hussein is a ruthless, maniacal, delusional dictator who practices Stalinesque tactics, oppresses his own people, and doesn't think twice about using weapons of mass destruction of which he obviously has. He has violated numerous UN conditions of which he agreed to after Iraq was defeated in the Gulf War. The man's mission on this planet is to destroy the state of Israel and anyone/thing/state that gets in his way....the Islamic Savior/Knight. If he doesn't have weapons of mass destruction, then why doesn't he let the inspectors back in to look without conditions.

He invaded Kuwait, he "gassed" the Kurds(Iraqis)......fact? I think so.

Plain and simple...Hussein complies to the UN stipulations or face the consequences...having his weapons of mass destruction removed by force for the safety and peace of the free world.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't like either GOS or Infatuation for the name of the next FM release. I think they should simply entitle it Fleetwood Mac with a black cover and I think in a few years we could all refer to it as "The Black Album".
-------------------------------------------------------------------------DOWN WITH HUSSEIN, DOWN WITH AL-QAIDA, DOWN WITH TERRORISM

I quite agree with you but to eliminate the leader of a country that has faced 40 years of oppression the problem of what to do once the regime has been removed is one that is only now being addressed. It would be unwise in the extreme to proceed with a military campaign before these crucial questions have been resolved. If you remove a nasty, evil but entirely predictable and relatively stable leader, who knows who and what will follow? It is realistically possible to unleash an even more savage beast than Hussein.

It's 2:50am and time for bed. No more politics for me!

Goodnight.

Hi Cristian...
I didn't see Lindsey's comments as being disrespectful fo Christine in any way.
For me, the implication was that the band has compensated for the loss musically... even though they still very much miss her as a friend.

They're certainly not going to leave a gaping hole in the Mac sound, where Christine's keyboards & vocals would have been... so it seems like a very honest statement to me.

Ah, I should've seen Peacekeeper as being Murrow rather than Shuffle Riff. 'Hit and Run' is great!! That makes sense with the lyrics. I just love how apart from the fantastic music of the GOS catalogue it's just all so fresh, edgy, inspired and unique.

But Murrow as the first radio single?? Hmm... Relevant perhaps, but musically -
