I was wonderin if FM has ever been on any Talk Shows and what songs they performed. Also What songs did Lindsey Buckingham perform on SNL when he was on in 82?

Lindsey's done Leno & Letterman. On Leno, he did "Don't Look Down" (minus Neale Heywood, who couldn't play due to either some union rules or some sort of visa problems..read Neale's Q&A for details).

On Letterman, Lindsey did "Countdown" with Paul Shaffer & band backing him, incredible...if anyone has an mp3 of this performance, PLEASE share...please? Letterman was so awestruck after Lindsey's killer solo stretching out the end, Dave could've been knocked over with a feather.

So has Stevie (been on Leno & Letterman)...plus she did the Rosie O'Donnell show soon after the release of TISL...I think she did "Every Day".

On SNL, Lindsey and the Cholos (Mick Fleetwood, George Hawkins, Billy Burnette...a precursor to "The ZOO") did "Trouble" and either "Bwana" or "Mary Lee Jones", I don't recall which.

You know I don't think Fleetwood Mac has ever appeared on a talk show now that you mention it. I guess the closest they came to appearing as a band was when Mick, Stevie, and Lindsey did Letterman the night they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame....and I think just Stevie and Lindsey did the following night too.

In addition to what Steve wrote....Stevie appeared on the now defunct Arsenio Hall show doing "Love's A Hard Game To Play".

Mick Fleetwood's Zoo appeared on Thicke of The Night(also now defunct) doing two numbers.....I THINK "Tear It Up" and "World Turning".

We may see the band make some talk show and other television appearances this time around...keep your fingers crossed.

Also, the Billy Thorpe version of the Zoo appeared on Arsenio to sing "Shakin' the Cage." Bekka was fantastic. The Zoo (give or take) has done a lot of TV, including "Rock Palace" (which wasn't a talk show) & "The Inside Track with Graham Nash" (which was).

Let's not forget Lindsey's embarrassing appearance on Regis & Kathy Lee. While the two of those braindead magpies nattered on about absolutely nothing of any interest or merit or consequence, Lindsey played a short, boring acoustic version of "Soul Drifter." He reappeared on Letterman later that year to redeem himself with a full-band performance of "Soul Drifter" that is one of the most splendid things he's ever had televised.

Stevie appeared, alone, on the 1979 Easter Seals Society telethon, asking everyone to send money in her typically spaced-out way. Her other song on Arsenio Hall in '91 was "Stand Back." That was the first time any of us saw her with straight hair in probably 14 years. Vocally, it was a low point for her.

Jeez, I just remembered. Lindsey lip-synced "Trouble" on the old Merv Griffin show. Afterward, Merv asked him inane questions about how much money Fleetwood Mac made from sales of "Rumours." Such a topic was, not surprisingly, of great interest to Merv, who wangled a financial entertainment empire out of his small talents.

He also did the Charlie Rose Show on PBS, but I've never seen it. Anyone seen it?

Well Mick was on Joan Rivers and GMA for the Clinton Inaugeration. The latter Lindsey was on too ( very tense)--these were just interviews though

Lindsey did Trouble and Bwana on SNL
Lindsey did Leno and Letterman twice. He also did Regis and Kathie Lee.

And Stevie did her thing on Letterman and Leno as well...as well as Rosie as mentioned too. For Bella Donna Stevie did many local tv talk shows....

The BTM group did a Japanese talk show ....or variety show..weird!!

Im sure they did more...can anyone remember?? In 82 I know a morning show did something on them and 20/20 too I think but that doesn't count. That was all for the US show in 82.

Oh yes...they did do the two Hall of Fame shows...but wasn't Mick only on the first show????

A bunch of things are coming to me but I guess they aren't considered talk shows...

Default talk shows

I know Stevie and Lindsey did too nights on letterman, not exactly Fleetwood Mac, but they introduced them as Fleetwood Mac kinda so...they were promoting the dance...and one night they did Landslide and one night Big Love together.....

Stevie's done many tho....of course she did Leno and Letterman in 2001, and Leno again in 2002 with Sheryl and Natalie....and in 1998 she did Leno & Letterman.....and she did Rosie O Donnel....and The Today Show she was on for 2 days for an interview last yr....she also has been on Letterman in 1994 for Street Angel, and in the 80s........but Im guessing this time around Fleetwood Mac will do some talk show...because nowadays, if you arent doing a live concert for broadcast...the only way to just PLAY on tv for ppl is t alk shows...theres no music shows where people just come to play....

Default Good Morning America c. 1978?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remember an interview with the band, or part of the band disucssing the release of Tusk. I thought that they were talking about where they got the drum beat for the song that they used to use as a warm up. I thought I remember them, Mick, talking about a beat they felt while driving over a bridge. The beat stuck in his head and became the rhythm of the song Tusk. I could be confusing the band with another band of the era because I was very young at the time, but I have always thought they appeared on Good Morning America.

Some one correct me if I am wrong.
