Default Tom Petty cover of Oh Well

I didn't actually know this (don't know how I missed that one) but listening to my iPod today, up popped Oh Well on Tom Petty's Live Anthology. Interesting version...

Anyone else heard it? Opinions?

Yes, it's a nice one. There are several versions on youtube.

Both Tom Petty and Heartbreaker guitarist Mike Campell admire Peter Green.
In an interview Petty said that their last album "Mojo" was inspired by Green among others. One song there called "The Trip To Pirate's Cove" is basically Peter's "Slabo Day" with lyrics.

Mike Campbell played on Bob Dylan's last album "Together Through Life", and people pointed out the similarity between the opening track "Beyond Here Lies Nothing" and "Black Magic Woman".
(Although its more like Otis Rush's "All Your Love")

I know the first time I heard it I was like "What? This is Slabo Day" It annoys me that they didn't give Peter songwriting credit though

While making a videos playlist for tonight, for my private tribute to Christine with my partner, I was looking for World Turning live performances, and I don't know why but this Oh Well live version appeared in the YouTube search list. I didn't know he covered this song. It is very cool.
