"Christine had an affair with a music producer, and she nearly left John and the band to make a solo album with her lover. However, he went back to his spouse, so she did the same."

Very interesting, I wonder how a 1973/74 Christine McVie solo album would have fared.

Yes that would have been interesting!

Gail

PS As we all know she wasn't born in Birmingham. She was born in Greenodd on the edge of the Lake District

Well, I updated the albums. None of her session work with Fleetwood Mac was included.

That was Martin Birch. A solo album at that time would have been very interesting.

The Madison Blues box set isn't listed in the discography. Can anyone add anything to Wikipedia?

Well written stuff. But I'm not familiar with a bit of terminology: what's a "cut-rate" group mean?

Cheap. Sub par.

The article could have done without the unnecessary, patronizing term "authoress."

Why is the '84 album always dubbed "synthesizer-heavy"?

"Wilson drowned in an accident a few years later, breaking Christine's heart."
I'm sure it rather bothered Wilson, too!

Maybe because of Steve Winwood?

Imagine how well received that would have been in Britain...

Christine Perfect McVie's 1973 release Bad Loser hits stores next week!! Her first solo album since joining FMac.

I wouldn't bet on it, though. It would have been good, no doubt, but it's unlikely that it would have been a hit. She didn't have the name recognition back then, and even then she'd have to deal with "oh, she was that blues piano player Christine Perfect, from Chicken Shack, who ended up ditching the blues to go bubble gum" or "that chick from that one band...oh what's their name...you know, the one that had all those guitar players go crazy?"

No I wasnt saying it wouldve gone platinum, but I certainly dont think it wouldve bombed either. I'll just take a stab any say it might have sold about 150,000 copies or so.
