Wow, that's such a horrible shock.

I'm in the middle of a long drive. I'm without words. I've always dreaded the day this would come.

I'm at work and just numb and sort of in shock.

I'm crying on the inside.

She sang once "there's no use in crying, it's all over".

I feel inconsolable, broken.

beautifully said, i'm stealing this and posting it everywhere.

she lived fulfilling life till the very end, and made this world a better place.

she was just nominated for a grammy, and Everywhere has been used so well in that commercial and made it to the top of streams.

The same. I was nauseous and light headed the whole time i as at work today which is where I was when I heard the news. It was such a terrible place to be. I debated telling my boss how devestated I was. But decided not to.

I wouldÂ’ve put a lot of money on Chris and Mick living by age the longest
Of them all. I just always envisioned that. Both in their early 90s at least. They just seemed really healthy. That just intensifies the shock and sadness.

But despite being a 15 out of 10 on the sadness scale, I must say IÂ’m still very content with what I got to witness. 3 tours and 5 more Fleetwood Mac songs are a straight up miracle in my book.

I don't recall having seen this interview at the time, so thought I'd share here. It's dated from this past June (9 June 2022) so one of her last.

I'm still working on processing this news, and I'm not doing well at doing that. All I can say now is that I'll miss her more than I can put into words. Like so many others, I cry listening to her music, but I can only imagine the grief and pain those her knew her feel. And so the light of one of our precious fireflies has been extinguished, but we will always feel the warming glow of it around us whenever we hear her voice. Rest in peace, dear Songbird.

I haven't visited this forum in far too long a time. I guess I needed to put the band away in my mind for a while after everything that went down. None of that matters right now. I still have love in store for all of them. Always did.

Nauseous!! That's what I felt at the very first moment. And dizzy. I'm still not hungry. Sleep was a big fail last night. Oh well, I need to find the positive charge vs. the negative charge in the atoms of life. We will get thru this dark time and fine the light... Just like she taught us.

So shocking and so sad. We must be thankful what we have gotten these past years. After 2004 we never thought we would hear her perform again. She came back and toured with the Mac on 2 long tours and did another tour with Lindsey. I never did think I would hear Songbird performed again when The Dance finished in 1997.

Its devastating for sure. I think she was the oldest in the band but she seemed timeless.

I’m completely in shock. I’d been dreading this day for a long time, but I didn’t expect it to be her, or now. She was my favorite member of the band and generally my favorite musician of all time. Words can’t adequately express the impact her music had on the world. When she came back in 2014 and I got to see her on tour several times, it was nothing short of a dream come true; I’m so grateful to have those memories, but I just thought we’d have a little more time. The chain is broken. I am broken. I don’t know how to be okay after this.

For everyone else on here who’s feeling the same way, you’re in my thoughts. In a community as devoted as this one, it hits so much harder than just losing a celebrity.
