This is just a little something, a re-tracking of Stevie’s live performance from the 1987 ‘Top of the Pops’ Christmas special to the studio version. I simply wanted a nice sounding clip so I had my buddy re-track the performance. It matches up rather well.

One thing we still do is make sure we listen to Stevie Nicks’ rendition of “Silent Night” as she wraps her husky sexy raspy voice around the innocent lyrics. “And it was a silent night,” she improvises. If you can’t laugh at the juxtaposition, especially at holiday time, then I submit to you that you are simply dead inside.

What kills me is some radio stations refuse or dont bother to play Stevie's Silent Night because of the altered lyrics and remove it from their holiday music playlist.

But do you think it's really Stevie's doing? I can imagine her trying to appease people by not including religious-themed lyrics in an almost entirely secular Christmas album, but I can also imagine someone telling her she couldn't go against the grain of everyone else who didn't sing religious-themed songs, and her getting upset.

I know she does want to hurt anybody's feelings.
