Yeah, I know what you mean! I think that "design choice" was less a result of art aesthetics and more related to the low budget WB spent on Mac albums in those early years...

Don't ask why, but I had to go with Tango in the Night. I like it when an album cover reflects the music inside (for example, the cover of the Metallica album Ride the Lightning reflects the dark, almost electrifying sound of the music), and I feel Tango's cover reflects a slick, synth sound that kinda feels like it should be heard around sunset and twilight (funny as it may sound, certain songs and albums I feel are meant to be heard at certain times of day, like how Dark Side of the Moon is an album meant to be heard at night). Also, I just always dug the pic on the front.

Anyways, all the other album covers are great too, even tough I think Rumours could have been made better if it had Stevie telling Mick secrets, like the penguins in my sig.

the Mirage Cover would be nicer if Stevie's neck was not so WRONG. I know that somewhere someone said that was not her original pose and the artist painted her head on at that angle to make it look more dramatic. SOmeone else used to say on here Steve said something about that she didnt want to do that because in a previous life she was beheaded or died from her head getting cut off. If you look at it enough you can see that there is NO friggen way her neck is that long. If it were Stevie's neck would be about twice its normal length. Also, there is no way her vertebrae can make that angle without snapping her spinal chord. And what is the deal with her having a huge adams apple? Steve is a man, not a drag queen!

Thank you thank you thank you! I thought I was the only one who ever noticed how... odd her neck looks on the Mirage cover. It creeps me out

I've always been drawn to album covers that do not have the band in them. I like concepts. This leaves me with a tough choice, Tusk or Tango In The Night.

Tusk is a very aggressive and odd cover, it's awesome...but I never thought it completely fit the mood of the album. Tango In The Night, with the jungle, thump drumming and the mystery of it all is rather cool. SI guess if I had to pick one, it would be Tango In The Night. I always thought of each band member as something in that Rousseau homage painting cover. But I'm not telling.
