Default Which part do you sing?

When you're listening to Rumours lineup Mac, do you tend to sing along with Chris, Stevie or Lindsey? Do you always sing the lead, or do you sometimes sing background?

For me, it kind of depends on the song. For most songs, I sing along with whoever is singing lead on that particular song. If there's 3 part harmony, I usually do Stevie (Chris is usually too high for me - yeah, like I sound SO much better singing lower!) A few songs are different:

I usually sing the "ooooh lalala, ooooh lalala" part in The Dance version of SYLM & don't sing anything else but the chorus

Crystal - I sing w/ LB until Stevie comes in & sings the "I turned around..." harmony - then I switch to her part.

The Chain is a mess when I sing it. I love it so much, and I try to sing a little of everyone's part. Terrible!

Paula

PS - yes, this is a stupid topic, but it's been slow around here & I was bored!

lol...great question...I just sing with whoever is the lead...when there's the three part thing I sing with Stevie...lower range thing works better for me too

Pretty much I just sing anything...I love singing along with music...then I can't hear myself well and that works out much better than if I could hear myself hehe...I really can't sing well at all...

Oh, anything. Lóve figuring out the harder-to-hear harmony parts.
I even sing along with the guitar solo's.

Yes I do that. Love those ooooh lalalas

I tend to sing along mainly when I'm in the car. As I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket I find I sing along mostly in the car when I'm on my own (it's kinder to others that way especially those of a nervous disposition)

If I'm singing Lindsey's part I sing like him (or what I fondly imagine sounds like him) and the same with Chris and Stevie. When I do The Chain it's quite something because I have to try and sing like all three. For some reason the words scalded and cat are coming into my head!

I always, always sing along with Stevie no matter what. Since i am a teenager and my voice changed I cannot sing songs I could before the change. But yes I can still sing alice

I cant sing Silver Springs anymore which sucks. When i was like 10-11 i used ot be able to do stevies crazy rhiannon from rosebud now i can barely do SYW version!

I usually sing with whoever is the lead singer. Harmonies are either Stevie or Lindsey since Chris's voice is too high for me. But, believe me, it's all BAD! I have a good time, though, so I guess that's really all that matters in the end.

Stevie- her songs are usually the easiest to sing.

It depends. I usually sing everyone's parts...but Chris a little less. I enjoy singing the harmonies much more than the leads. There are usually so many parts that work. And, it is fun doing them in different octaves. The one thing about Stevie singing in her lower range all the time is now I know I can sing all her leads in the right octave !

Couldn't do that in the early years.

I don't know what to sing on The Chain either. I don't even try to sing I Don't Want To Know.

Ok, well then I'm the FIFTH!

Really, I can't sing worth a damn, so when I do it (alone in my car) I usually sing with Stevie or Lindsey. Chris is too high for me too.

I like singing the whoa-oh-oh's in Eyes of the World on LIB--I think I've got that part down pretty well.

I usually sing the background part. I'm not one to steal the spotlight. I like to ad-lib throughout.....being part of the backup band gives me the freedom to do so.

It all depends on what parts I like, I know that I will sing along with Stevie/Lindsey/Christine all the time; just depends on which parts are the catchiest(sp?)lol. My range is closest to Chris's though.

I love harmony so I'm usually singing that. It's pretty easy, even within the Rumours line-up to find a harmony that none of them are singing but otherwise I think I pretty much sing Chris's parts.

I find when I start singing Stevie's lead parts I sing them like Cher Don't ask me why!
