although i'd love to hear it, i don't think peter will ever do oh well again. i think his voice suits the lyrics better now than in 1969 but he never played it with the splinter group did he? was it ever played in the pvk era shows? zero |

Maybe they could do a new arrangement? The original is pretty heavy, Led Zeppelin-style. |

I recall during the Splinter Group days, Peter said he didn't want to play "Oh Well" again. He said they were doing a number of old Mac songs and that would be a step too far into the past.
I am a little surprised this new band isn't playing Green Manalishi, because Peter has said many times that is his favourite song...but the main thing is that Peter plays and sings songs that he wants to be involved with. |

Perhaps they could have arranged Oh Well as a boogie
Anyway, Peter is proud of Oh Well part 2, so perhaps they could rehearse only that part.. Btw, The Stumble is on youtube now!! I haven't had the time to LISTEN to it now, but Peter looks like he's enjoying himself!! |

Ha...I am at work but couldn't resist a listen. Pretty good performance, and Peter gives it a bit of welly...and seems to really be enjoying it. Especially at the end, such a grin on his face. Good to see and hear. |

Kemper tells that the quality of the recordings is so great, that for the first time it is possible to hear each of the three guitars (Green, Kirwan and Spencer) on the recordings (It seems that Jeremy Spencer is always playing along with Green and Kirwan - and that Green didn't make no overdubs on the recordings). I believe that the review will be online tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. If not - I'm going to make a scan of the newspaper, which in "Finnegans Wake" Joyce once called "the Frankofurto Siding, a Fastland payrodicule". |
