Default Famous Fleetwood Mac fans

I've been asking myself for a long time now.
Middle 40's, it started when i was 14. Are there any famous people who are ledgies like us? A few i know, like Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow and addict Courtney Love. But who else?

I know that Mike Oldfield is very found of Lindsey and his playing. In an 1980 interview Mike was telling all about the creativity and his way to slip his voice 'round Stevie and Chris. And that he made a show, comparing to what the Eagles did. Oldfield quates "what the Eagles do is tóóó perfect. It lookes like a videoshow, no than Fleetwood Mac, you feel the vibes. That is Live and people enjoyed that.

Second example is the singer composer Pacal Jakobsen from the band BLOF. A Dutch quartet who played also with counting crowes. He's impressed the way Lindsey pluckes it's snares.

Who are the other famous fans and what are they telling 'bout the members?

Billy Corgan and James Iha both are fans. Elvis Costello is a big fan (of the original group, that is). Obviously the Beatles were fans, at least of "Albatross."

Well, that's certainly depressing to read in hindsight.

Don't know for sure but I would guess Waylon Jennings had some appreciation being that he covered "Rhiannon" and "Leather and Lace".

I always thought it was so cool when Sheryl Crow first starting getting popular and her admission of being a big FM fan, especially Christine.

Speaking of the Dixie Chicks, I loved Lindsey's response to their version of "Landslide".... he basically just said, "I'm happy for Stevie".

Two off the top of my head are Bill Clinton and Roseann Barr (she once had Stevie play at a private party). I think Letterman digs them too.

Pascal did mention that in a BRT TV interview where they comparing guitarstyles. I've seen it 'round 2002!
Recently he did mention that he was very interested in the Mick Fleetwood book. Source was Veronica magazine 1 or 2 weeks ago.

Will
Ps, greetings from Echt

I thought I heard that David Spade has been spotted at a few shows. If you count him as famous.

From Rolling Stone:
Quote:
a zealously beaming Winona Ryder, who rises to depart with a fervent observation: "Weren't they amazing?"
Cindy Crawford was at one of The Dance shows as well.

I don't think Waylon did "Leather & Lace"...but he & Willie Nelson DID do "Gold Dust Woman".

Sheryl Crowe

U2 - she has had parties for them before - like because of Jimmy Iovine

Bette Midler - recently called her the "voice of a generation"

Ann and Nancy Wilson - wrote "These Dreams" for her to sing and often comment on her

Bill Clinton - a little scary there

All the famous people she has worked with (Petty, Loggins, Todd Rungren, Bob Welch, etc. )

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

I know Faith loves Stevie specifically.

I've got a copy of them singing Go Your Own Way.
