Former Eagles To Reunite For 'Toxics' Benefit
August 07, 1986
Former Eagles Don Henley and Glenn Frey will be part of the same concert lineup for the first time since the Eagles' final show in 1980 when they perform Aug. 28 at the Long Beach Arena in the "Get Tough on Toxics" benefit concert.

Henley and Frey are scheduled to play separate solo sets and are considering performing together. Former Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks are expected to team on some songs at the concert, which also will feature Neil Young, Jimmy Buffett, Joni Mitchell. Other acts will be announced.


The anti-corporate-pollution benefit concert Get Tough On Toxics is held in Long Beach, CA, featuring members of the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and Neil Young.


A concert to raise money to fight toxic waste polluters and limit commercial building drew 11,000 listeners Thursday night at the Long Beach (Calif.) Sports Arena. Headlining the show were Don Henley, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks. Surprise guests included Warren Zevon, Mick Fleetwood, Rita Coolidge, comedian Cheech Marin and Ed Begley Jr. of TV's St. Elsewhere. Highlights of the six-hour "Get Tough on Toxics" gig were a 90- minute set by Henley, who also did a duet with Nicks. No word on how much money was raised.

OMG the fact that Stevie did a benefit for "Get Tough on Toxics" in 1986 has got to be the biggest joke I've ever heard. Was she the front woman for the message, "see what happens when you snort too much blow" ? . I'd love some background on this event.
Edit: I just read that it was for toxins in the environment but still, she should not have been representing anything to do with a healthier world in 1986.

EDIT: "Leather And Lace" is really the ROCK version of "Rhiannon", and there's no link for "Leather And Lace". Do you have that, too?

I was searching for BOTH the unedited House Of Blues 1994 radio concert with the original vocals

AND

Lossless copies of the Westwood One version of that concert with the overdubs and all.

I searched for 2 hours this morning and could not find what thread those were both posted in.

Hey Mike...I posted the unedited show not too long ago so it's still on my mediafire page. Here's the link.

I have a lossless copy of the Westwood One broadcast CDs with commercials and all I can upload, or I have an edited version I made for my iTunes which has the commercials cut out. I'm assuming you want the edit but I'll ask just in case you just want the whole thing.
