Smile fall 2018 tour - setlist wishes?

so Lindsey told numerous people at the fundraiser he's planning a fall tour (possibly to start at the end of august, or a bit later). that means it's that time again - the setlist wish time!

now keep in mind that he'll be probably touring whatever that Best Of album will be, so 6-8 new songs like at BuckVie are out, but maybe 1 or 2? i have to assume he'll be touring with the band (not one man show) from everything we've been hearing.

and the last thing - he still owes us REQUEST portion of the show. so Lindsey - you're on notice for that!!

Same request as you (I think) Walk A Thin Line.

I think Stephanie is definitely getting dropped lol. It was a staple at his more recent tours. Sad because I really love that song I'd love if he still played it but I'm sure he won't and I don't blame him.

at this moment, these are the songs that i'd like to have as a part of the setlist (not in order) -

• Turn it On
• In Our Own Time
• Wrong
• One Take
• Down on Rodeo
• Come
• New song
• Gift Of Screws
• Bleed to Love Her
• To Try for The Sun
• What Makes You Think
• Walk A Thin Line
• Wait For You
• Red Rover
• The Ledge
• Go Insane
• Never Going Back Again
• Big Love
• Right Place to Fade
• You Do or You Don't or Gone Too Far
• Request portion of the show – 2 songs
• I'm so Afraid
• Oh Well
• Go Your Own Way

ENCORE
• Holiday Road
• Rock Away Blind
• That’s The Way Love Goes
• Love is Here to Stay

Change up the set list a bit. I think it would be great irony to OPEN the set with "Go Your Own Way". It would really get the crowd pumped up.

I am aware that "Go Your Own Way" has traditionally closed the show or led up to an encore, but Lindsey could still close the show with "Tusk" and a full band version of "Big Love".

I'm admittedly not really huge into Lindsey's solo stuff over the years but after this latest stunt, I will definitely attend a show if one is nearby and won't be attending the Two Gossiping Penguins Tour ...no matter how hard Neil Finn tries to convince me of how awesome Fleetwood Mac is on XM Radio.

My list definitely is heavy on the Mac stuff that I'd love to hear as well as a few solo things across his career that I like...
  1. Tango in the Night
  2. Trouble
  3. Wrong
  4. Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
  5. In My World
  6. Go Insane
  7. Did You Miss Me
  8. Don't Look Down
  9. Bleed to Love Her
  10. Come
  11. Countdown
  12. Big Love
  13. Say Goodbye
  14. Second Hand News
  15. The Chain
  16. Can't Go Back
  17. Tusk
  18. My Little Demon
  19. Go Your Own Way
  20. On With the Show
  21. Walk a Thin Line
  22. I'm So Afraid
  23. Never Going Back Again
  24. Holiday Road

I hope he has fun with it, and doesn’t feel the need to play the staples.

I’d be totally content without Big Love, NGBA, GYOW, Trouble, ISA, Go Insane.

But I assume we will get all those.

I hope the set list reflects the track list of the “best of”, about which i remain intrigued

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

i want to replace So Afraid with Murrow. combination of Come and Murrow is nicely covering for what So Afraid does. and i really don't want that slow NGBA. replace it with OWTS. maybe OWTS should be somewhere at the beginning.

also, Rock Away Blind needs to be somewhere in the set, and i don't see it above......

Default Setlist

While Lindsey will need to play some obligatory hits (GYOW), I hope he listens to the his own criticism of FM concerts and not play the same old stuff and really shakes up the setlist.

"Walk A Thin Line" is one of my favorite tracks from Tusk. I'd love to hear him do that one.

Like this, but longer!

Wow I've never seen this! When he sings softly like this his voice sounds like it did when he was young, especially at the part when he says the word 'time'.
This is one my favorites of all his songs, I would love to see him perform it.

I actually think he has the ability to be more "off the cuff" than the rest of his former bandmates do.

Walk a thin line can bring tears to my eyes on the right days. It's a marvelous piece.

I just barely have any songs I would not want on the wishlist, but filling out the vocals with a guest for some duets would be awesome in my book, I just like harmonies and vocal layers, besides the rhythm and guitar layers.
