However, since Kolors has some Osibisa roots, I wonder if the bass player might have been Spartacus R from Osibisa, whose real name was Roy Bedeau. Could it have been that Spartacus R was the bass player and the Rockpalast organisation wasn't aware of two of them and assumed it must have been Duban Laverde??????
The info on the Rockpalast website was taken from this very thread....so we are probably behind this error . Manfred posted above that Spartakus R and Durban Laverde is the same person,
You must be right, Spartacus R is Roy Bedeau. But on the Kolors tape the speaker clearly mentions Durban Laverde. Spartakus R probably joined later, he was part of the Kolors line-up in 1983.
It's correct that most of the Kolors band members had played in Osibisa.

By the way, "Alan Barnes" on keyboards is just my guess. It' probably not the correct name but it's hard to hear what the speaker really says.

That is Roy Bedeau. The bass player in the Kolors video is clearly not this guy, it's Durban Laverde, who may or may not also have used the stage name Spartakus...

Yes, I also found that info. Furthermore I also did a google search on Durban Laverde and found on Wikipedia:
Durban Laverde (born 1951), is a Venezuelan born bass guitarist, keyboardist, session musician, and producer. Laverde was born in Caracas. He has appeared on numerous albums and singles since the 1970s for a diverse range of recording artists, including Joan Armatrading, Ali Thompson, Jimmy Page (on his 1988 Outrider solo album), Blue Murder, Vox, and French singer Lizzy Mercier Descloux's backing group. Laverde has also recorded under the name Durban Betancourt and Spartacus R.

So I guess the mystery has been solved.

Still waiting for someone to confirm that the guy who plays electric piano and sings a few tunes is "Alan Barnes". It's only what it sounds like the German speaker says, but there is no record online of a British keyboard player with that name.

It appears the keyboard player in the 1982 Kolors line-up is actually one Alan "Barney" Barnes. He played in various Cambridge bands in the 60s, including one that featured Syd Barrett and one featuring Dave Gilmour. Mystery solved.
