Default Sound City Movie - Musical Memories with LB

from Sound City Movie FB page:

Sound City Movie
Hear who Lindsey Buckingham met back in high school. Pretty sure you will agree, we are ALL psyched that they crossed paths.

feel like this should be bumped. not that he's saying anything new, but nice to see his segment got featured on sound city movie youtube and fb page.

Actually, he did say something new -- that he and Stevie ran into each other a few times in high school (she always says she saw him once and then never again for two years) and we also learned that Lindsey thinks Fritz started in college!

Wow! What an interesting story! I can't believe they've never mentioned that until now.

ah. i stand corrected! guess these little details are all the same to me

good for him that he gave you all some new info, apparently.

EDIT: actually, i did find something he said interesting - he said that Stevie also played guitar, and sang a little. in HS. i thought that was interesting that he emphasized her playing guitar, while mentioning singing just as an afterthought.

I would think the last thing he'd remember about her was her guitar playing. When he tells the California Dreaming story he remembers that she thought herself a poet, even then. So, he seems to emphasize her writing and doesn't talk about her voice or their voices together.

yeah, me too. that's why it jumped out for me when i heard him saying it in this vid. maybe he wouldn't have even noticed her if she wasn't a fellow guitar player?

I wonder if she told him she played guitar that night. He said when she showed him her songs, he was quick to critique them, even then. Can't imagine what he would have said about the guitar playing.

Once they got together, she had some funny lines about how she tired of him telling her about bars. He'd be trying to map music structure and she said, she'd say 'Oh, you mean that bar down the street?'
