To join a cult or whatever they call it, is fine by me, I don't care. But when there are children involved who are forced to have sex with an old man ("Dad"), their own siblings and other grown ups, I'm throwing up with disgust. Especially when you see a documentary about one of those kids who video taped his story and shot himself in his car in AZ. He had gotten out of The Family and was happily married but he couldn't live with the horrifying memories anymore.
How can you live with that, Spencer?!

That's too bad. He's a great musician and all, but... I dunno.

I believe there was an article on Fleetwood Mac recently that read "Warning: Joining this band can seriously damage your mental health"

On the subject of Mick and Peter let's check the afterward of Mick's book...

BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR

The very title of the above
Means an innocent I am not;
-But I felt it unnecessary to open that door
I mean after all
There are two rooms that should remain silent
to ears of others, the wc & the bedroom

-M.F.

There have been tons of stories floating around. The 60's and 70's were a time of sexual exploration. David Bowie and Mick Jagger caught in bet together. Lou Reed was given electric shock therapy in an attempt to "cure" his homosexuality. Even John Lennon was rumored to have had an tryst with a guy. Why should this all be so shocking?

I don't think that's shocking at all, it's shocking in Spencer's opinion. The shocker to me was when the kids of The Family came out of the woodworks telling horrifying stories of molestations. Especially that documentary about that young guy named David. They showed (probably parts) of his video tapes where he tells his story right before he killed himself. That was the shocker to me.
