I did want to say that I don't think there's anything wrong with a theme for a kid's room. My brother had a Star Wars theme. His sheets, his wall paper and he had pajamas to match. He loved it. It was probably my mother's idea, but it was inspired by his love of Star Wars.

As long as you aren't preventing your child from enjoying his own room, by telling him he can't hang his mitt up, because it will ruin the decor, then what's wrong with a theme?

Babies usually start out with a theme -- nurseries using Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, etc.

I'll tell you what I'd like to see is that doll house the girls have. I saw a little item on the designer a couple of years ago and they can cost up to
$100,000. I'd really like to see the one the Buckingham family got.

I don't care for it. I could handle the Bel Air house but this one? Not for me. I can't stand clutter and this place is cluttered up. I don't mind eclectic, but that is just way too much. My tastes trend toward the modern/retro look.

Unless they are family or personal photos (like the collage of images Lindsey kept using in his Show You How video), I don't think anyone really needs that many frames on the wall.

Exactly what I was thinking. Buckingham is obviously an English name. Looks great in the room!

Cool to see a guitar beside his bed, is he gonna try and follow in his Da's footsteps.
I thought that too! .. odd.

Ya, but you KNOW that guitar was thrown in at the last second for the "Duh!" factor

Terrible powder room.. I could absolutely not use that without getting some sort of vertigo from that hideous wallpaper. Too many photos with no theme in the first room. Beautiful master bathroom though.. wow!!!
Eh, wouldn't have minded seeing where the magic happens though..

I'm talking of course, about the recording studio!

Bah, the pics on Kristens own website truely document the house.. Its spectacular! These pics, (from the linked website here) if anything, are the least flattering of her taste!

Omg!! The girls room is so adorable! I'd kill to give my daughter that room, its so pretty and girly!!

I think the house is absolutely beautiful, so kudos to Kristen for that, but it sure doesn't look like three kids live there. I mean, I'd sleep in that little girl's room, take away the three (!) toys and it's an adults room. The living room looks like a fancy hotel lobby.

Which picture is the little girl's/s' room? Isn't their elder daughter like 10? I recall when I was that age I had my father physically reconstruct my room...I had previously had a white canopy "princess" bedroom set and my wall was a doll collage, where each of my doll's was meticulously hung by pink and white lace. I had a vanity mirror and a large cream-colored chest at the foot of my bed with flowers painted on it. I think it held sweaters but I basically used it as the setting for my little barbie doll tea parties...aww to be young and girly...

But then when I turned 9 I got heavy into organized sport and started to become a tomboy and got rid of ALL of it by way of cousins, friends, some charity organizations. So I turned my room from white palace to dark brown furniture, two chairs, a piano, and music posters everywhere. And I haven't ever gone back to the dolls, even at my most nostalgic. Miss them I do not.

***Sorry for all that...just reminiscing when wearing a puffy white dress and having tea party conversations with my porcelain dolls was part of the daily agenda. Sometimes getting older can be a bitch.***

I got the Elle Decor issue and there is no guitar in the picture of Will's room. There is a white teddy bear on one of the beds that I don't see on the web photo.
Lindsey looks kind of old in the photo with K and he looks thrilled.

Absolutely a fair point, I should really have made myself clearer

I meant that the room has a kind of vintage theme going on, which is fine for an adult's room, but a kid's room should have all the stuff you mentioned -- Star Wars, Peter Pan etc.
