They're probably being overzealous with the post production and it will result in a delay of the release just like the In Your Dreams documentary.

Then I would expect this thing to look and sound off the charts great, since the raw footage YouTube videos from this show are perfectly fine to my eyes and ears.Maybe it’s a matter of trimming the talking to a reasonable level!
I also agree with whoever said a CD would almost be even better. Maybe a soundstage sessions 2 with all the lesser played songs included plus gold dust woman.

To which I say, REALLY? lol
Just to be clear, what I wrote wasn't that she could look horrible or recite a phone book. i just wrote that in the footage and concert I'd seen she looked fine, and that if her worry was that she looked her age, well, that shouldn't be a worry. Also, I totally get wanting her to look like Stevie (i.e. the shawls and top hat, boots, etc) but we were talking about releasing a DVD here and not going to see her in concert, or at least that's what I thought were were commenting on. I agree that no, I don't want to hear her sing the phone book, but maybe you were responding to what other people said because that's not what I said or meant to say. Anyway, let's hope she releases something in which she sounds great and looks like...Stevie.

They may be waiting to release it next year during the Mac tour, to drum up more sales. Kinda makes sense from a marketing perspective. I do have my doubts that it will ever see the light of day. Stevie mentioned in a recent interview that she still wears beautiful clothes, even if she's too fat for them. Her words, not mine. So perhaps watching the footage changed her mind about the release? I sure hope not.

I have no doubts that the DVD will see the light of day.
This was her most successful solo tour of her career.

Stevie is silly if she thinks she is too fat.
She looks terrific.
Especially nearing 70 years old.

Which ironically was in support of the least successful album of her career!

The Soundstage (?) is a top-notch production as a production. Is it on Blu-ray? Maybe the Stevie camp thinks that that one was so good, there's not much reason to release another live disc while some people are still buying the Soundstage. There are two Lindsey Buckingham concerts from recent years on Blu-ray, and, enjoyable as they both are, market people might consider it saturation.

But cable has a couple of live-concert channels, and you would think that one of the Stevie + Pretenders shows would have been aired by now.

Nah. Stevie's Soundstage took over 2 years to air after it was shot.
This is normal.
It has barely been a year since the "24KG" show was shot.
It will air and then be released on DVD.
It isn't over-saturation, as it's been about 10 years since her Soundstage aired and then was released on DVD.
