I cast my vote, but I prefer to keep who I voted for, private.

This board is very civil. Everyone is very respectful.
I belong to a cruising message board and fights break out so often just over cruising and cruise ship reviews. Many times the moderators have to delete the entire thread.
No one should be afraid to discuss anything. Politics included. I love the stories of couples, or husbands and wives who drive together to the polling place and each vote for the other candidate, sort of cancelling out each other's vote. That's love. That is respect.
No one is more independent than me. I used to be a democrat in the late 80's, then independent, then republican, then independent again, and republican again.
Both parties are more alike than they want you to believe. Each use wedge issues to sway easily swayed voters with emotion.
As Ron Paul says....one party believes in really really big government and the other party believes in really really really big government.
This was the year for a good third party candidate. I just don't think I could vote for any republicans these days and am going to change my party affiliation again. I live in Florida so my vote really counts

Good post.More friction/fights and hot topic discussions in the Rumours threads then here where we would expect it.I try the best to stay neutral on the candidates here.I think John McAfee is running under indie like Ross Perot. It will be interesting when the conventions go on and they will turn the tables and end up with different candidates that we have now in the line up.

I still find it troubling that Hillary might win. Will anything be different if she wins? Probably not. But like I said in the other thread, Hillary is a paradigm of the kind of people we need to get out of positions of power. She's an elitist, corrupt, career politician. I'm tired of those people running the country and stealing our money. Not to mention Hillary is involved in several scandals right now, is that not foreshadowing her presidency?

I'm not American but I find it downright scary theres a chance Trump could win. If he becomes the 'most powerful person in the world' then I'd really like to emigrate to Mars. I hope reality will soon start to kick in. If it's scandal you want though, Drumpf's your man.

Good luck on that trip to Mars!! Round trip is about 2.5 years, so you'll be missing a LOT of Stevie and FM news in that time!!
